Playing the game makes me feel physically uncomfortable

Makes you wonder if they got rid of cross-play if it would play better?

Anything would be better than the current pitiful excuse for a video game. The only thing they have going for them is that you can obtain all kinds of God-Squad cards without spending real money and also not having to invest too ridiculous of an amount of time (unlike the Immortals programs in 2018). BUT if it is going to play this badly, then what is the point!!??

This game desperately needs a revamp or a Blizzard-level debacle to shake things up. The VERY repetitive animations and gameplay are unacceptable at this day and age. The day to day gameplay is already repetitive, I mean, it's baseball for God's sake. But to have the same diving, throwing, fielding animations is just plain lazy. Makes playing the game a bore once you realize it.

TO SDS:
Just get a bunch of minor leaguer's who need more money as it is...and get them in MoCap suits ASAP. We need to see more dazzling plays, more silly swings, more DADDY HACKS, more unconventional dives in the outfield. DD does not need more development. It's fine for now. Go Focus on the gameplay.

This could be the most idiotic thing I've ever read on this forum. Kudos.

I don’t think cross play has anything to do with it. They just made the game too hard to play for the average person (which includes me).
I think ‘22 will be better. It was too hard to get people out in earlier versions. This year they simply over-corrected. Hopefully they’ll adjust somewhere in the middle, so that the best players can still rise to the top, but the average players can still have a little fun, too.

It has never been like this before, but the 2021 version of the game took a step backwards by allowing high level pitchers to be far too strong, and with so many able to hit edges and corners with unbelievable consistency, the game has me on edge every time I play it online to the point that my gut is physically aggravated and it is an uncomfortable feeling. I think it's from all the failure. This game is no fun when you can't bat .200 with every player on your god squad and you're facing a guy who can pinpoint on command.
To be honest, I have come to hate playing.
Hitting this year was BY FAR the easiest in the 7 years I’ve been playing this game. Unfortunately this sounds like a you problem

Ok, then what about this argument (based on two different types of games).
If SDS took time off, like the developers from the WWE 2Ks series, for a year or two and totally revamped the game; would the community complain that there wasn't a yearly game or would they go without it for that time period if most of the days would be fixed?

This is my first year playing The Show and I still know your full of [censored]. Pitching is stupid easy and op. As a first year player I should not have a .99 ERA with all my pitchers combined in online play.

Agreed. 100%. I don't think Anything will change though significantly until they scrap this game engine they been using (for how long now?)

Simple answer then is don't play.
I realize that it is really the only viable option for Baseball on the console but that is no reason to force yourself to do something you hate.

You saying it has never “been easier to hit” is an opinion.
The data shows that nearly everyone who has played DD for multiple years has seen their average drop considerably with this year’s game. We all can see our stats from previous years.
So if you’re hitting better, you’ve improved. Good for you. But don’t get on here and say the game is easier, because we all have data to prove that is false.

Don’t pay any attention to anything jonblaze says.
You’ll be much happier.

I'm not great at the game, but last year I was like 80-30. All hard fought games. I could actually see and hit the ball.
20 > 21 by far
-
Could it also be that PS5 owners hit better? Frame rate is even smoother on PS5.
For me, PS4 Pro… regardless, it’s an issue this year. -

Agree. Pin point pitching ruined 21.

Which part is idiotic? Just disagreeing with no context or info to backup what your opinion usually doesn't get received well...
Are you saying the game animations, announcers, etc. aren't repetive?
Are you saying that asking for a better game is idiotic?
Are you saying Diamond Dynasty being "fine" is idiotic?

At the end of the day, I know money is what talks. So while everyone continues to pay for The Show every year, they will not take time off or reallocate their budget/workforce to revamp the gameplay.
All I'm doing here is stating my opinion on the subject at hand. I'm not a computer programmer but I can't imagine getting different player (fielding/throwing/hitting) animations implemented into the game to be some kind of earth shattering-mindnumbing suggestion.
What would happen if NBA 2K had the same dunk animation, shot animation, for almost every player? That would not work out too well at all...
I'm not saying to get every single pro player's physical ticks into the game. I'm saying we need more variety.
