Fielding is Awesome!!

I seriously don't get why you Casuals/Noobs are complaining about fielding, fielding is one part of the game where its really good. Last year's game the fielding timing was a bit off, like hits that could of gone for doubles were singles because the outfielders got to the ball way to fast...and before you say it yes, that was with adjusting the fielding speed and running speeds with Sliders...still it seemed way too quick. Also last year the infielders were super quick at turning double plays. Now this year hits that would go for doubles in real life actually are now doubles in The Show 2020 and the infield aren't on crack and turning double plays in fast forward. So I think the fielding timing is closer to RL baseball. As for the fielding freezing or whatever some of you are saying, I have never experienced that, its prolly an online thing cause I've only played offline.

Are you on crack? Or are you tylerslikewhoa's second troll account?
You clearly can't comprehend what has been posted on this forum, or you are a smug a$$hole who just likes to poke the hornet's nest.
Which one is it?
And yes, it happens offline as well.

Dude seriously I'm not trolling or anything, I honestly have not seen anything remotely close to what you guys are complaining about. Here's my situation, I've only started to play the game since Saturday and have only played about 5 full games so far..its simply me playing as the Jays vs their AAA team offline with Manual control....sorta just to get a feel for the game until I spend about 50 games tweaking sliders before I start a Franchise...and yes, I have not seen any glitches to my fielding or the CPU. Only thing Ive seen kinda weird is I had a comeback to my pitcher and I threw to first base using analog throwing and it was all green but I threw it away and it was an error...I'm thinking sure okay [censored] happens that's baseball, apart form that I haven't seen anything weird about fielding.

There you go, check it out.I’ve had this happen maybe once so I can’t understand how you’ve been plagued so bad. Also they’ve fixed it and since I’ve had no problems.
The pitching to me is the biggest issue. Perfect does not result in perfect placement so that is confounding and balls that are 50% in the zone not being called strikes is a real problem.
On the hitting side of things it is too much like HR derby at times with few runs coming from hits and that extreme catch meter hardly ever comes up. -
Trash players want the easy street. Good players understand that the game is currently nearing perfection
-
i had it where the OF's just runs away from the ball
-
Try to play a bounce off the wall and the outfielders just stand there looking at it. Lol

Tylerslikewhoa is totally correct, trash players do want the easy street, this game plays awesome so far for me....you casuals/noobs/hacks want your hands held way too much. Look at the outburst that's happening now that the base runner window has been removed because they don't want to control their own base runners.

The fielding that I hate is when the guys take their time instead of being urgent in key situations. Other than that and dudes not locking on sometimes fielding doesn’t bother me. What bothers me is constantly hitting right at fielders with perfect feedback. It should be at least a 500 average on these hits but it never finds the gap. I Get more hits on bad contact than perfect. That’s wrong. Hell half my homeruns have been on early ok or late ok hits.

The comments about “trash players” is a joke because most the “complaints” are not about playing online and who’s better.
I play offline sim, playing online against keyboard warriors who make threads like this doesn’t gain me anything in life so I would rather play franchise offline and create my own baseball universe.
That said, I play HOF Zone hitting, legend meter pitching, with auto fielding, manual throwing, manual base running with all on screen elements off.
No guess pitch, no PCI, no swing feedback, no pitch type, any of it.
I do this cause I want to simulate real baseball, and these settings allow for that to happen best.
That’s why people hate this removal. It’s not cause they want “easy street” and us keyboard warrior “good players” need to let them know to man up.
I never play online but if this is an issue, maybe it could forced online but never should be offline.
The game is enjoyed different ways, why can’t we have options to allow that?

That's good, your play style is like mine more Sim like....I'm Legend Analog Hitting, Legend Classic Pitching, Pitch Speeds Maxed and yes Manual everything and all screen elements off, no guess pitching or Feedback or pitch types bla bla bla. Do you also spend like 20 games plus Spring Training tweaking your Sliders to match MLB averages before you start the Regular Season too?...oh I also play with Broadcast, so a single game of mine takes about 90 mins to 2 hours...I go though all the Warm Up pitching and everything :). So yeah, I try and make it as close as the game allows to Real baseball.

Josh,
Whoops! I thought this thread was about the runner window being gone and how you’re trash if you don’t play fielding on manual.
My whole point was most the complaints about it are from sim games. If online is littered with all auto players, I can see the gripe but I never play online thus telling people to just learn is dumb.
To answer you’re question, I roll with mike Lowe’s sliders form OS. I literally do what you do and fielding is awesome this year.
This runner window thing does suck. I play auto fielding, manual throwing and manual base running. Cause I play auto field, I don’t get runner window, which sucks when still manually throwing.
Anyways, sorry for gunning at you lol.

Fair enough assessment I've used Mike Lowe's Sliders before and I tweak it a little cause I think his hitting is set on HOF?, since I'm on Legend I change it a little. But dude, if you're already doing your own throwing just play your fielders and run the bases man, its your team....take ownership.
