I hope we get the Beta test this year as well! Last year they announced it on 1 Feb. and it started on 23 Feb. and lasted to 1 Mar. So, there is still a chance that they do it again this year.

Only way I see getting a Beta is if the long-rumored Swtich version is making it's debut.

What makes you think it would only happen if it was introduced on a new platform?

MLB the Show 19 had an Alpha test (still a "Tech Test") in December 2018. They could still test parts of the game they would like a mass test on other than cross platform tests. The Beta test for '21 also tested aspects of the game that was not about cross platform compatibility.

MLB the 19 was debuting new servers and needed them load tested.
MLB the 21 tested other things, yes, but the main test was of platform compatibility.

They may want to test the servers again this year so they don't have the same issues as last year in April!

Alpha is earlier on in the development and the beta is closer to release. SDS calls them both "Tech Tests".

I enjoy the tech rests and I do take my time to give good feedback. They do put them out to get players’ input on how it plays and any new features.

If only they listened to the feedback in those. We told them about the contact swing BS in the beta forums last year. Year before we told them about the fielding issues

They listened somewhat. The Perfect Perfect sound was incredibly muted in the Tech Test but they eventually fixed it.

So you guys will play it and say oh look at all the new shiny things they did. Then it will release and be a guaranteed pile of hot trash. SDS is becoming EA and just putting out subpar games. Amazing content can’t save subpar game play and that’s the truth

Well as far as content they will only let us use what's in 21. They wont show any 22 cards. So we cannot be amazed by the content. Problem is whatever game we get in April isnt what we are gonna have later. So no matter how good it is, it wont last. But still better than most, and I will be there early release day 1 as always.

Speaking of content, is it just the online modes from here on out (events, season, battle royale)??? If so that seems pretty lame, at least bring something like the Extreme program, or new conquest maps, or even just new cards in the Run It Back program (or a whole new one).....or more...???

As for content I’m referring to 19,20 and this year. As for the game, you will be there because it’s the only option. Sorry but I’ve played this game since 2006 and it’s becoming EA’s little brother, which isn’t good
