Event matchups

I admit I have an awful win record and I keep getting paired with opponents way way way above me. Is there a way to make Events matches somewhere near even so I have something of a chance? And why it seems no matter what I throw I give up a HR in the first? Last game I gave up one on the first pitch that was out of the strike zone? Any tips for this?

I noticed there's a bunch of people with good records and good skills playing this event! Maybe because the casual players have moved away and the ones that remain are the loyal hardcore grinders, which are usually the above average players? Just a guess though.

Yeah that’s probably true. I just posted a suggestion in another thread that they divide events matchups into at least two divisions with one for lesser skilled players like myself and one for the better players. I hope they do that at some point.

I hope not, I really love smashing casuals for once and I'm not afraid to admit that.
Edit: because most of the games I play are sweaties. Not because I want to make others miserable.

I think I have played 14 games and 10-11 of them vs WS banners, so definitely good players. ( I have had at least 5 of them dashboard which shows poor behavior is not skill based)

False, like 90% of the stuff you post. Yes, the window matters but when you're at 0-0 and the window is largely similar for everyone who is just starting a run, region and distance will influence the matchup.

It seems like I get put into a different region on a nightly basis. I'm in Southwestern VA and some nights 90% of the guys I play will have some Ohio St or Cincy Reds theme going in their name and then other nights its 90% Vandy and Braves

That's really funny that I always get people from my same city, every day I've played for months. Same with RS, BR and even Extra Innings I get 90% people from California. Must be completely coincidental.

It’s insane, almost every game it’s guys who have ridiculous records, are sporting 12-0 banners, WS icons.. and like 7 of their batters have averages over .400, oh yeah and have parallel 5 Verlander, Sale, etc. how bout pairing those guys up against one another so they can sweat it out

️Nah we like to play non sweaty games from time to time as well. Just quit and start over, the entries are free so who cares.

What has you so confident in this? It seems like way too much of a coincidence to me that I live in L.A. and get matched up with west coast team names like 95% of the time.

Because it's not a coincidence, region does influence matchmaking and the guy is clueless. Basically about everything he talks about.

I think overall the event is going to be harder than previously with even more players stopping. also anything on all star is tough and the relievers here arent as dominate in some previous events with a very stacked lineup for most players

The matchup window is what dictates who your opponent is. It’s says it right in the game manual. That’s why I’m confident in saying this.
