Gatekeepers for 22

Who are we thinking? I’m thinking there will be sooo many expensive diamonds to start this year. I’m thinking guys that start 90+ are:
AL East-
Vladdy, ColeAL Central-
J-RamAL West-
Trout, Ohtani,NL East-
Soto, Acuña, Freeman (depending on where he signs), deGrom, Scherzer, HarperNL Central-
ArenadoNL West-
Tatis, Trea Turner, Buehler may get the nod, but I could see them making him an 88-89. -
Unless there's a huge new legend that is the collection reward I won't do the live series collection until later in the year. The last few years I haven't felt that the reward was worth the stubs. I will try to get all the diamonds for the Phillies day 1 though lol.

I mean, Chipper was easily the best 3B for a huge majority of the year, and is still on a lot of teams even now. If a card like that isn’t worth the stubs to you, then idk what would be.

I'm biased on Chipper. I know he's a stud but him being a Phillie killer doesn't let me love him. I get that the cards are top tier but is there millions of stub difference between the collection reward and the next closest 99 that is released by June.

Having a card that is far and away better than just about every other card for months is absolutely worth the stubs imo. Not to mention also getting all the LS and smaller collection rewards that’ll be useful for a while.

There has never been more than 7 or 8. Degrom, Trout, Acuna, and Tatis are more or less guaranteed. I would throw in Scherzer, Judge or Cole(Not Both), Vladdy, and Harper. No more than that. AL Central has never once had a gatekeeper and I don't think they keep Arenado as 90+ 2 years in a row to start the year for the lone purpose of having a gatekeeper in the NL Central.
Soto should be but he got screwed to start the year this year too so I expect the same

Hopefully we get some good cards in the LS collection this year. You had to go all the way to get good cards last year. Even most division series rewards were bleh.
-
Huh? Early in the year the 90 Posada was the best catcher in the game, Glavine was extremely effective, Banks was very playable, Gossage was great and Finley was very glitchy. The key is getting the collection done quickly as for the first month or so the smaller collection rewards are very good.

I absolutely will not accept Steve Finley slander. Glavine was pretty darn good too

Those cards are great for April or May. But by June or so when most of us No money spent guys are finishing up collections, there are plenty cards that rival those. And all those stubs aren't worth it for those guys. And the team rewards were just silly.

I'm just need to know who the rewards are if they're dope like this year then I'll worry about gatekeepers
