My son and I are quarantined with Covid so decided to work together on our accounts to get Trout ( I had been in at drop and thought I had placed the 78th 1M buy order, but realized yesterday morning I had mistakenly placed one for 100,000 stubs ( ugh) and would have been about 2001 in line.
So we took turns playing on our accounts yesterday with me pitching and he hitting. We went about 9-3 roughly on eqxh account but the disappointing thing is a third the guys we are playing are WS banner guys with insane records tanking down in the 400-600 range ( these guys have lineups with averages between .350-.420 and 60-140 homers per player).
I get the rush to get Trout, but SDS should block these guys from playing RS on All Star once they hit WS as they are ruining the games for the guys who should be playing in this range to have a chance to earn wins. It’s a really Sh**ty thing to do.
Now in fairness, my son amd I can compete well enough to beat a few of these guys and we will wallow thru bouncing between 550-800 likely while we get our 30 wins, bit there are so many players that will have to play who knows how many games to earn the wins when you factor in them getting matched with these jack holes…I hope SDS figured a way to not reward these rank and tank players if they plan to keep the 30 win system next year.
I'm one of those WS guys in the 600s right now, I took a couple months off and it takes like 10 wins to get back to HOF. Just know that a lot of us don't intentionally tank
I know, my friend. I always check gamer tags after and can see the guys who are tanking compared to the WS guys who just saw their rankings plummet due to not playing for seasons.
It’s the guys with records of 22-21 and a bunch of 0-0 first inning losses this season and still playing in the 500s I am talking about and have seen multiple.
And to the guy asking why tanking is wrong, they have levels for a reason….but have fun destroying lousy competition so you can feel good about yourself when you obviously have the skills to be competitive at higher levels. ( play casuals on AS if you want to dominate with other line ups).
It's December. There isn't any noob competition left. I tank to play all my RS games in the 400-550 range, and I rarely match up against a truly new player like that. It's mostly other tankers and folks that are decent but are clearly on a TV.
Remember, RS ranking resets every few weeks. So every player in the game "tanks" at the beginning of every month, and new players have to play veteran players all the time. It's built in.
What's the big deal about building it into the game just a bit more?
Game was just on sale for 10$, it’s available year round on gamepass, there is always noob competition.

So if little Billy gets the game for 10 bucks and heads online with his starter team, I'm supposed to feel bad for shelling him?
I dont play call of duty cause I saw combat a long time ago and I don't care to relive it. But imagine if I bought COD right now for 10 bucks and headed into their online multiplayer.
I wouldn't expect to get a bunch of kills. I would expect to be killed over and over.
I would not imagine that the forums of COD would debate whether or not it was ethical for them to to shoot me the noob. Do they do that? I dont think they do that.

Ikasnu is gonna do low stakes friendlies with me. 5 dollar 7 game tournaments with restrictions as bargained upon. Settle on venmo, 30 max exposure.
Let's do a 5 dollar game today, Ikasnu, as prof of concept. You win, I pay, now we got a new made mode.
I'm average at the game. But I bet a lot of sports. I bet aggressively. So you win, I tip my cap to you. I win, same. A gentleman's wager

I'm simply using all TA5 players to get my Team Affinity points. It's certainly not my "God Squad", and it will take me longer to get to 30 wins, but I don't care. I'm down here in 500-600 land, win one, lose one, but I'm having fun.
You?
I use my God squad until I hit 30 wins, then I mix it up. Usually takes a week or so to get to 30.

Brilliant! I will adopt this strategy.
P.S. Took me two games until this strategy failed.

I may try to go for ws for the first time. This is my first year playing and the highest I’ve made it is 863. I was struggling to hit on HOF. But have gotten significantly better. So I may try and make a run. But unfortunately I think championship series is about where my skill level Peters out
