Flipped the entire release night, but basically never again after that. Sold off all inning bosses and event/br rewards until I finished LS.
Bought the gatekeepers as soon as I had enough stubs. once I got chipper it was all about making sure I had capital to take advantage of flash salesThanks

I flipped early in the cycle, but I pulled DeGrom real early and pulled Trout 3 times this year, twice when he was at his highest point. If I hadn't pulled him, I would have had to flip more. Glad I did, because I hate flipping.

I finished the LS collection about 2 months after the game started, I did buy stubs opening weekend, but that was the only time. I have all the bosses except the 2 for the current inning I did not pick. I would say the biggest thing is not to buy packs, especially the 20 or 50 packs, you almost always lose money.
But did you complete the collection due to some good pulls from the free packs that came with the game or by flipping?
I did get lucky and pull Trout twice in the first 2 months. I had never pulled him before in the last 3 years played, So I did get extremely lucky. I actually pulled him a 3rd time about a month ago, but the price was only about 50K then. I did not flip, just sold all my duplicates, even commons until I finished the collection, they add up.

Did anyone lock players in as soon as you got them or did you wait until you had the whole team?
-
I'm more of an investor than a flipper. I don't have the patience to flip. To answer the question tho at the beginning of the year I sell any bosses/high level sellable cards that aren't a favorite player of mine or someone I see myself using for a long time until the collection is done.

Locked them in ASAP. I didn’t wait.

I collected all bosses except for the 1st inning without buying stubbs. I got my boss asap and sold immediately, only later to buy back at half $ or less. I also did this for the 100/175k packs.
I never bought packs either which helps alot

Only problem I have with that is the possibility of them dropping a level. Of course if they jump a level; it's beneficial.
Also if they end up in the FA collection then you still have to collect that spot again.

My only advice is to do the BR program. That’s a cool 500k every month. Plus the lower card are like 200k-100k.

If I'm not mistaken, the first few BR Programs only had one Choice pack. Unless you're talking about the single player aka Reggie Jackson.
But yeah, thats a route. Only problem is during the beginning if the year you have all the 'tryhards' and 'goons' attempting the same thing

At the start of the year, I sell everything. Every. Card, equipment, uniform, ect. When I am in pursuit of the Live Series Collection.
Sell it all

I didn't buy stubs. Never bought any packs. If I got to my inning boss relatively early I would sell and then take procedes, divide by three, and place buy orders for that amount on all three innings bosses. Early in year I invested in lower level cards in anticipation they would go up and then I quick sold. During slow times between affinities I would flip diamond equipment. Whenever a big release was coming I would stop buying because I knew the market would tank.

I finish the LS collection between Jun and Jul every year, I flip cards and open all the free packs, I do buy the HL packs when they come out, Fiipping cards and selling off everything I can to finish live series. I started my Son LS collection like in Aug and finished it in like two weeks just flipping cards,

Now I assume, unless you bought stubs, you made most of your stubs playing and flipping.
But what about selling off early inning bosses?
Now, if you were 'lucky' enough to hit 350K ASAP (and I've heard some have done so by interesting means) then you could've probably sold off the boss for a decent amount and bought back later at a discount.
But does anyone actually try to sell off bosses, to get the LS collection done, so you can concentrate on other cards?
I sold my first 2 innings bosses ...used the stubs to help finance getting Chipper. I knew the bosses weren't better then what I got in return - Chipper , Ortiz, Gossage , etc, Plus you can always buy the bosses later on for much cheaper than you sold them for just wait for a pack drop, the market crashes and pick them back up.

Sold Babe for 1M earlier last week and turned around and bought all three bosses this week for ~875K.

Another great way to make easy stubs

That makes sense. If you don't, you'll pay for it later. Get that thing done ASAP.

Correct on early inning bosses -- none will be as good as the best cards you unlock in the LS collection.

This is the way. I would also add Early on that create a player option was a great way to get xp and diamond gear which sold for a pretty penny. My other tip is to put in 3 orders for each common or Bronze card you buy. Put one in the collection and sell the other two which means you get the card for free or sometime even make a few coins. As for inning bosses, if they are good I keep them. Yes, you can make some coins selling and buying back later but unless you are one of the first couple hundred to complete it the profit is not very big.
