Jeter, love or hate him would be a huge selling point for next years title. Couple that with the bird killing flame thrower Johnson. You got two huge 90’s legends that I think would really get folks excited.
I don’t think MLB wants Bonds likeness in any capacity gracing a licensed title. He got cancelled before it was cool.
It’s almost taboo to say Bonds was the best baseball player of all time. FYI he is. I hate saying that
Well you see, there was a man named Babe that is the actual best player of all time. Bonds comes in at 2nd place.
I think I would still put the Hammer in the top 2. We all know Bonds juiced that isnt even debatable but Hank did it the right way and still set MLB records in HRs and RBIs.
I'd put hank over Babe for sure

Any player involved in the Steroids scandals when it became a real pandemic will NEVER be used in MLBTS. These are players like Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Conseco, Palmiero, Clemens, ETC.
They are Black Listed just the same with Rose, Beltran, Alomar, Felipe Vasquez, Dykstra, Backman, A-Rod & K-Rod.Gagne, Sheffield, Giambi and Papi tested positive for steroids among others and we use their cards.
A long with Nelson Cruz, Yazmani Grandal, Ivan Rodriguez, Jeff Bagwell, Mike Piazza etc. Steroids are a part of baseball's history either negative or positive, the steroid era and the summer of sosa and big mac saved baseball at the time. @TonyTheTiger2k16

Oh yeah, 3,700+ hits....way more than Babe. Most RBIs ever, and Most HRs other than Barroid. Don't get me wrong, Barry and Babe are great, the Hammer is greater.
Oh yeah, what about Mr. Willie Mays?

Bonds got intentionally walked with bases loaded once, RBI's dont really prove how great a player was, both hank and mays didnt play the levek of talent barry played, its basic evolution of the game though, of their time they were the greatest type thing, like barry is the greatest of the 80s, 90s and 00,s etc

No doubt, Bonds from 2001-2007 was probably the most dominant period for any hitter ever.

Ok, hold up. Aaron played in nearly 800 more games than Ruth. 4000 more ABs. Ruth was way above Aaron on all the slash lines. He also leads by a decent margin in WAR, plus he pitched.

We can keep going in a circle on this if you want to. He was so far better than every other player he played with/against. He is such an outlier that he revolutionized the way the game was played. It's more than strictly the numbers.

Meh. His defense was horrible.
YES. But only if they ban outlier. I think Buster would be a good choice as well.
NO. What an a-hole. Plus he'll never give his likeness. I'd love Ted Williams.
I love the "Jeter's defense was awful" take yet people forget he won multiple gold gloves....and they literally have cards in this game specific to that award regardless of how GOOD they really were.
Fact of the matter is, if they gave Jeter a Sig or a prime card from his early-mid 2000's.....the card would be VERY good.
Upper 110's-Lower 120's contact
Likely mid-high 80's power (people forget he was an XBH machine)
Fielding and speed in the mid-high 80's which is more than enough for pretty much everyone
Clutch and Vision maxed. Its just facts

Every generation will inevitably be more athletic than the previous one. That's a completely different argument.
Without time machines you can only measure greatness against peers unless you use advanced stats and analytics.

because Bonds was putting up numbers even before steroids, winning mvp's, silver sluggers, gold gloves, bonds took steroids to keep up with sosa, mac, etc. He leveled the playing field.

Hank admitted to using Greenies (i.e. amphetamines) so if we’re dinging Bonds for not “doing it the right way” …
My opinion remains that as long as MLB wasn’t testing for it at the time, it was fair game. So I’m fine w/ recognizing both Hank’s and Barry’s achievements.
