Have players in their game that aren't in this one?
Koufax, randy Johnson, Barry bonds, Canseco, etc?

Because they aren't using actual player models aka the players likeness

Ohhh... shoot, I'd be ok with them putting these guys in the show and not having them look like em.
Would using a similar batting stance be considered a "likeness"?

I understand there is a ton of behind legal stuff behind the scenes....but the fact of the matter is they are using their name in a video game. All seems to be under a similar umbrella. Doesn't make sense to me.

There is a lot of legal stuff that does not make sense to us regular folks.

Because those players are within actual rosters of previous seasons you can choose to start off at. So you could choose to play out the 1985 Season as the Pirates & have Bonds in his Rookie year. MLBTS does NOT play out past seasons & ONLY gives us cards of past players to use. But ONLY players they've gotton permission to use their name & likeness. In OOTP it includes ALL past players (Regardless of todays status with being banned) because they are in the data base of every season going back the last 100 years. You can chose which year & team you want to play & will have the real rosters for that year.

So why can't the same developers make an NFL type game??
