For all you in here reading this. go see the video for yourselves.You have to be affiliated with SDS in some form. How anyone not affiliated gets so distraught about someone's opinion about a game is mind boggling. If you are not affiliated, you are a super sad human being to comment on EVERY thread where someone questions the game.
It is NOT Commenting. It is having a further discussion on what was replied. Maybe even debating some. But it is NOT Commenting or even less intending to offend anyone in any way at all I welcome EVERYONE's Feedback regardless if they agree with me or not. This is why I created my OP to begin with. But some replies I do feel like replying back that reply because that is what makes the actual thread more interesting & insightful. Taking the topic even further & maybe even debating on it some.

EA, how do I hate thee? Let me count the ways...
- Star Wars exclusivity deal that produced few if any good games
- Star Wars Battlefront 2 pay to win progression system
- SWBF2 lootboxes
- All the FIFA gambling allegations
- Buying several game companies and dismantling them, leaving their employees without jobs. There is a list of these on Wikipedia.
- Doing the above to Visceral games
- Forcing employees to "crunch" in order to get games done by set in stone release dates, rather than pushing dates back
- Not caring at all for the wellbeing of their employees, or employees of the studios they own
- Making Bioware employees crunch as they worked to make Dragon Age Inquisition, Mass Effect Andromeda, and Anthem. The latter two SUCKED and Bioware is more likely to suffer for it than EA is.
- Overbearing and overreaching sports exclusivity deals
- Madden has sucked in recent installments, btw
- Several decisions that have been made to the detriment of players in order to make EA loads of $$$

I don’t like EA very much at all, they are pay to compete and don’t always succeed, but it’s clear SDS has been totally lost in terms of progressing this franchise for a while now. Outside of moments and game modes based on moments, there’s been absolutely nothing new of note introduced into DD. SDS lack initiative and are happy to keep rehashing the same game incessantly, churning out juiced cards with new artwork and faking enthusiasm on live streams about the same cards year after year. It got tiresome and maybe it is time to let someone else have a crack at making a baseball game, because beyond making 99 overall versions of everyone, or releasing a 95, 97, 98 and then two 99 overall versions of a single player in a single season, SDS don’t have a clue how to capture the imagination of the player base. Next year we’ll probably get cards that go to 100 overall and have individual stats that can go to 150 “to separate the real standout cards from all the crummy 99 overalls”.
Get some new material already and make a realistic game with simulated bat and ball physics. Stop appealing to the lowest common denominator with shiny fake juiced cards and toss me a cookie home runs that aren’t even in the PCI. We’ve all been saying it for years, we just want to play baseball. -

Nobody knows, that video posted by the OP is making assumptions based on job postings. The assumption is whatever they are supposovely working on won't be arcade related . Nothing has been confirmed by EA itself and this is mostly a click bait thing.
It's a yearly thing where rumors start about EA bringing back MVP Baseball

Imagine putting in enough blind trust in to EA that you are willing to post this based off of a game that was made over 16 years ago by people that no longer work at EA. Oh boy
If they will be using the 2005 game as a "Template Model" to adapt it to today's current advanced software, graphics, algorithms, etc & continue from where that game left off. Then yes I do have that blind trust & faith they will put out an excellent product.
I don’t think it will be anything like 2005 outside of maybe gameplay and you know those servers could be just of much of an L as sds. Not to mention since it’s EA so virtual currency to the max. Maybe we get a new funky mode though.

Madden was good back in 2005 too and look at it now. Way less features/bare Bones franchise/ and constant glitches/game breaking bugs.
Also I suggest you actually go back and play MVP 2005 before saying it's the best because nostalgia can be a [censored] sometimes. Plenty of times I think a game or movie from my childhood was great then go back and watch it only to realize it's actually a steaming pile of [censored] -

You are being overly optimistic if you believe it will be any different than any other current EA Sports title. It would probably have more in common with Madden 22 than MVP Baseball 2004.
Maybe they’ll go back to Earl Weaver Baseball. LOL.
