I've had no problem with pinpoint pitching. Now all a sudden I can't get a pitch release to save my life. My controller is brand new. Not drift. I tried all my controllers and still get the same thing. I can get the first motion no Problem, but when I go to release; it's ALWAYS RED (Early)

I’ve had the same problem. Driving me crazy. Is there a fix for this?

Same for me. Pinpoint has always been kinda funky on the gesture, but it didn't matter much. Now like 75% of my pitches glitch out in the gesture or follow through and throw garbage pitches. I've given up about 30 homeruns in the last 2 days.

Noticed before when I had my controller charging this happened more often but now it's happening no matter what. I'm done with this game for now, there's absolutely nothing I can do to play it correctly anymore.

I posted about this 4 days ago; started after the most recent xbox update.

For some reason the input for the controllers lag to the point that PP pitching no longer works.

I have the elite series 2 controller, and it is the only controller that still works most of the time, but if the batteries wane at all, it will act up too.

I believe the issue is tied to the Xbox Series X controller's firmware, which never worked properly with the splitter and on low batteries before, now does not work with PP period and I'm not sure SDS can do anything about it.

Only fix is to use an old wired xbox controller or pony up the funds for the 150$ elite series 2, which works very very well while on a full battery charge.

It was at least manageable. I could get a decent splitter/forkball. Now it's impossible to throw even primary pitches. I love playing baseball and this games pretty good, but this ruined any more fun I can have with it

Started 2 days ago for me and have not found a solution yet. I've tried several different options to make it at least manageable for offline play but nothing is working. Guess I can try to use the Xbox one control as someone stated above.

I could always use a backup controller or whatever, so I ordered that Razer Wolverine V2. I'll post back on Thursday to let you know, if anyone cares.

Unfortunately, you have to switch to a wired controller or pony up for an Elite Series 2 wireless model.

In the meantime you can still use meter/pulse/classic pitching interface to grind and whatnot.

Perhaps the Dev team can open a ticket with Xbox and see what can be done about the fact that the controller that comes with their system, one which I'd bet 99% of Series X gamers are using, no longer works with MLB The Show's pitching mechanic. What changed within the past week or so?

I love pinpoint pitching, and am glad I have an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, which the mechanic works perfectly on, but I do know that it is frustrating in not being able to play the game properly otherwise.

I agree with them finding out the problem too. As nice as this Razer is, I like the original Microsoft controller more.

Especially the triggers. Microsoft always does the triggers well. The Razer ones are a little janky

Following this topic. Also experiencing issues with controller this week. I sent my Series X controller to Microsoft under warranty assuming I had some sort of dead zone on the right thumbstick. But when I received the replacement and had the exact same problem, I figured it must be something software-wise. Unfortunately, I did not discover this thread until after receiving the replacement controller.

Pinpoint pitching is my favorite gameplay element of The Show 21 and this controller bug has made the game unplayable for me. I hope there is a fix either from Microsoft or SDS coming. For now, I have an extra USB-C to USB-A cable that appears to help reduce the issues, which at least makes the game playable again for now.

Exact same issue here, pinpoint pitching is now broken on the Xbox Series X. No word from the devs?

It's not controller drift, there's some sort of issue when using the controller wirelessly. It worked normally for me when I plugged in a wire.
Something has changed in the last week or so.
