For those that have picked 99 Mays or Banks, how are these cards?

I just used Mays in the entire Showdown and he was terrible. One single was all I could get. Several times I was middle PCI and a hair off perfect timing and all I got was a mid-outfield fly ball. I got both of their 94 cards to P2. I started slow with both and then hit pretty well but I was a little better with Banks.

Leaning towards the 99 Banks but Mays’ attributes look really good. So, curious how they’ve been for everyone else.

I haven’t been able to get it going with Mays. His attributes are obviously amazing, top 5-tool player that can do it all, but in the ABs I’ve had with him I just don’t see the pop. Lazy fly balls that die at the track and singles.

RH OF for me I would take O’neill or Kemp over him by far at this point(also 99 Trout whenever he drops).

I haven’t used the new Banks card so I can’t help you there.

Banks’ speed has been a liability at SS. Even if they changed his swing (which has always been notoriously bad), I still wouldn’t play him

I like Banks swing this year and don't like Mays. That said, it all depends on your needs. One is a CF and the other a SS.

I got the pack just a bit ago...also didn't like Mays in the Showdown, even though I did hit two out. Showdown isn't the best test though. I liked the 94 Banks even though many don't like his swing, so I'm leaning Ernie or Sale and picking up Willie when prices drop. Just too many outfielders right now and it just makes sense to go with the ones where the swing works.

    I sold,

No real desire to try em out, so sell for over half a mill and buy em all when they creep under 200k

Same, first time I ever got to the boss early enough to make it worth my while. I picked Ernie last night sold him and then watched him drop 150k in 24 hours.

When I buy, I'll probably get Mays, then Sale, then Banks...but I'm not an Online God squad guy so all of them will make my rosters at some point for theme teams.

You know they made a good baseball game when people dont even want to use Aaron, Mays, Banks, etc. because they "aren't good".

I laugh when people say why are cards like Schwarber and ONeill as good? It’s a yearly game based certain events at times so who cares if many good cards?

    You missed the point completely.

They somehow made players that are top 10-15 all time (Aaron, Mays) not good enough to play with.

I would argue to the contraire. Those cards should be no brainers. Who plays today that can even hold a candle to them. Mays and Aaron are the elites of the elite.

It was a sarcastic comment. You and I are in agreement.

It’s to diversify lineups and allow the young and the slightly older to play with players of their choice I still use schwarber cause card is insane for me

They been down this road already, when dd first started. They're called caps, except with these cards you don't have to construct their facial appearances or create their stance.

Just hitting my head against the wall, because if the player base is anything in comparison to this forum, it seems to be what most want.

If they made Aaron and Mays cards reflective of how good they were, you could still use Schwarber. I dont see how making all time greats "not good enough to use" helps diversity.
