Never a waste... especially if all the dialogue helped you... I wanted to toss a new name in the mix (sorry if he was mentioned above) but Future Stars Keibert Ruiz from the R.I.B program absolutely rakes. He seems to hit everything hard and is a switch hitter
But Grandal is a switch hitter who has a better swing, way better hitting attributes, and is a better defensive catcher.
However, he's a Topps Now guy so he'll continue to get overlooked...
Love Grandal as well. I love switch hitting catchers. His speed holds him back a bit, but he is an elite catching card.

Come on sds... it’s october. Why are there no good catchers in this game. I just can’t hit with Adley, Pudge doesn’t have enough pop. Schwarber can’t throw anyone out.

“No matter who they add”.. There are some good guys to use for sure. But I think a lot would find Joe Mauer, Javy Lopez, and Victor Martinez to be welcomed additions. I’d like to even see a Thurman Munson and Roy Campanella too.

Sure, they could add all those guys. That doesn't mean they will be better options than we already have. The only Catcher in the history of baseball that would be far and away more of an all around better catcher option than what we already have is Josh Gibson, and thats highly dependent on SDS getting the Negro League players' rights(which I would love to see for what its worth)

I’ll second that! One of the very few actual baseball cards I own is his 71 Topps. It is agreed on by many in the business (which I am not in) to have the best picture on it. I know he doesn’t have the stats of some other catchers, but his life was tragically cut short when he still had plenty of good years ahead of him. He played harder than many.

Huge fan of the new Keibert Ruiz, numbers aren’t insane by any means. Feel like his swing and being a switch hitter makes him play well above his rating

Catcher has never been deeper. And off the top of my head we still have Posey, Bench, and Jimmie Foxx. I'm thinking there are more I'm missing also.
