Underrated Guys From TA4
-
Boggs, Olerud, and Molitor are very good too IMO. Personally I don't think you could go wrong with about any hitter from TA4
-
Julio Rodriguez is the second best card from TA4 behind Mantle.
-
Bret Saberhagen is my favorite TA4 card ... his delivery is so fast and smooth. It makes pitching fun for me,

Just dont pitch him in a game with high wind.
-
Walter Johnson is an underrated pitcher in my opinion, don’t hear people talk about him much. I’d also say Olerud, he can be sneaky and plays over his power rating.
-
This is exactly what I mean so many gems in there any a lot of them will get swept under the rug because of the timing.
-
For me Jim Edmonds has been insane. His swing is incredible and hits lefties better than the attributes say.
-
Boggs might be the best TA4 player. Mantle and Honus are obviously good. Rollins might be the most underrated.
-
love luis! he's in the lineup along with Adley
-
He's not underrated in any way shape or form, but...
HONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUSHONUS
-
Duke Snider
-
Barry Larkin is so much better than last year's and a really good SS option.
-
walter johnson has regained his place as the ace of my staff. I know a lot of people struggle to pitch with him, but can force a ton of weak contact and swings and misses tunneling the 4fb, sinker, and change.
Pudge is an absolute monster. anything squared up is in the gap, and has gotten the most bad pci placement bloop hits of anyone i've used.
-
Someone already said it , but this Larkin is light years ahead of any previously released Barry . Smooth

Molitor for sure. I’m not good and I was batting .800+ with him through my first 15-20 at bats. He’s cooled off for me, but everything he hits finds grass. Hit several fingers with him, so he has plenty of power to get it out of the park. Liability in the field though.

Tell me about it, I can dot so well with him compared to the rest of the TA4 starters. I'm not saying that because I'm a Royals fan either.

I feel like I don't see much on here about TA4 guys besides the obvious Mickey and bigger name guys. But Jason Giambi and Luis Gonzalaz are studs. I feel like they will get lost in the mix because first base and outfield are loaded but I wish we got these guys earlier maybe as inning bosses.
Haven’t used Giambi yet but I 100% agree on Gonzo!!! All he does is hit tanks!! I’ve been burned numerous times in the field though. Edmonds is also a stud!!!
-
I’m late to the conversation, but Olerude is a beast!!!

So many great players in TA4 that don't get talked about enough so it's cool to see various preferences on here.
Honestly, the only cards I have yet to really get going are Maddux, Luciano, Gary Carter, Biggio and Duke Snider although I'm sure it's just a matter of time with the last two.
I love Eddie Matthews, the bat is quick and then just flies out of his hands the moment he goes yard.
Larkin, Rollins and Honus are really difficult to choose between. All of them rake and fly around the bases.
Giambi, Gonzo, Boggs, Edmonds, Julio and Castilla were all pleasant surprises.
Mantle, Pudge and Adley are obvious studs
As for pitchers, I love The old school guys like Feller and Walter Johnson from the stretch and Gibson, Seaver, Saberhagen and Hoffman all the time.
In case it wasn't obvious from this post, I dug TA4 and use many of the players regularly.

I was surprised with Castilla too. If we didn't have 99 Schmidt he would be getting some playing time at 3rd in my main roster at this point.
