I do love HRD Salvador Oetez more than ASG and between the two, I prefer Petez though Piazza is a doubles machine.

I'm in the Grandal, Adley, Pudge camp. And don't sleep on Award Posada.

Bro same. I mash with the 95 way better than the 97

Exactly, no idea why but the other day I had trouble with his Topps moment and was thinking, if this were his HRD card, I'd have completed it with 1 swing. Took me like 15 mins for a Rookie level HR. 😒😒😒

Grandal. When a catcher is literally one of my 3-4 best hitters, that makes up for other deficiencies.

Grandal is one of a kind - the only player who turns a gapper into a single.

I had a legit infield single with him in the event last night. That 4 speed rating at parallel 3 was the difference.

The 95 has better hitting attributes. Almost 120 contact vs righties. That’s why the top players used him in the tournament.

But he also turns a HR into a HR. His lack of speed is fine trotting around the bases.

I agree that Grandal is a good hitter but it’s almost all or nothing with him. He’s basically a liability once he’s on base, He sure as hell isn’t stretching a single into a double. The only time the dude can hit a triple is if the ball gets stuck in the fence.

I mean. I hear you. And if you hit almost as well with another catcher, then of course, go with a faster guy.

But when Grandal hits at about .400 higher OPS than any other catcher I've used, then I have no choice but to use him.

True. I was using All Star JT when people were saying he wasnt even a top 3 catcher. I got him to parallel V and ended up hitting 80 plus home runs and .400 plus batting average. I still think he might be the best catcher in the game but Adley is starting to change my mind. Hat Grandal card is really good too. I’ve used him a handful of games. It’s easy to get hits with him more than most catchers.

You wanna know what’s weird? I was excited for that new Pudge card because I thought the other card of his was pretty good. Almost like the reverse splits of Posada. For some reason though I can’t get my timing with the new card. I keep trying him because he has the catcher pop time quirk and Adley doesn’t but I haven’t hit well with him yet.

It’s weird because I was really excited about the new Pudge because I actually liked the other Pudge. It was like the reverse stats of The 95 Posada. For some reason though this new Pudge I can’t seem to get into a groove with. Is his swing different in this one? Seems off. I really want to like him because he has the catcher pop time quirk like all star JT(might be best catcher in the game). Adley has been a stud for now. I will try Pudge again for sure but so far no good,

The other main factor as to why I've been using him now is the speed. 70s speed at the catcher position is huge IMO. No need to pinch run for him late in games. No need to sub him out defensively late in games, since his fielding and arm are elite. No need to carry another catcher on the bench. Frees up a bench spot for another bopper or speed guy.

    That’s why I loved JT.
