Knuckleballers

I’m sure I’m in the minority here, but does anyone else miss the knuckleballers? Let me clarify, I don’t miss the days where Niekro and Tiant were the best pitchers in the game, but I think it’s kind of ridiculous that SDS’s solution was to just completely rid the game of knuckleballers. Like, can we just not make the knuckleball a super OP pitch instead of acting like it never existed?

I would like them to release some knucklers. It would be a nice change from the no-hitter outlier cards, which are just as garbage as the knuckleballers were back in the day

I miss Tiant. Legend Knuckle Ball Pitchers were apparently "too cheesy" for the community and after endless complaints, they ultimately disappeared.

Yeah, there is always a new meta every year it seems. Knuckleball one year, sinker the next, outlier fastball the next. Maybe one year they’ll figure out a competitive balance of pitches.

I wouldn't say it was a "meta" pitch. Most people just had a hard time hitting it and thus complained their way out of it. I personally never had a hard time hitting knuclers.

Since then there has only been common and bronze knuckleballers, of course they get destroyed. -

I think the fact that most people had a hard time hitting it makes it the meta pitch by definition.
I think that was the year that pitch speeds where slow, so all off speed down in the zone was kinda meta, and you couldn’t get a fastball past anyone. -
