I've been playing since at least MLB The Show 07, and play on PS5. I have a joint account since I also have a Series S with the Game Pass version, but I hardly ever use it. I'm more than familiar with showdown. They're not that bad. There is only one or two this year I didn't pass on the first try.

Easy showdown that you get to load up on big bats:
Showdown has 3 mini bosses before final Mad Max. No blue missions and 500 stubs per entry (which you will get back!). Each mini boss awards 5 runs and you need 16 runs total to win the final showdown.First mini boss is Max Scherzer on the D-backs and only need 1 run with 12 outs. Second mini boss is Max Scherzer in Washington again 1 run needed , #9 spot starts at 3B, and only 5 outs. Third mini boss is Max in LA with needing 3 runs with 12 outs and #8 spot on 3B and #9 spot on 2B (first swing by Vladdy Daddy on the first pitch was all that was needed). Final showdown has 20 outs and should only need 1 run!. My final showdown lineup was:
99 Vladdy Daddy
99 (P3) Miggy
97 (P3 to 99) Juan Soto
99 Prince Fielder
99 Matt Kemp
90 (p1 to 91) Justin Turner
84 Kiebert Ruiz
80 Jake Lamb

I hate how they are trying to force people to do showdowns now in these programs. First the Clemente one where you had to either play online or do the showdown and now this one. The card isn’t any better than some of the TA4 cards so this will be a pass for me.

Haven't done any Showdown but the Starter this year. I don't want to throw things over a game again!These 3 or 4 boss showdowns are simple enough anyone can accomplish. If you can't score one or two runs on rookie with 12 outs and runners on base then sds should keep your scherzer card anyways.

Offline players complained that they couldnt earn cards without online missions. Sds releases the simplest offline missions for this group of players. Now they don't like those certain offline modes. This crowd is embarrassing. Wait till ya'll get ahold of extreme showdowm or conquest. Bwhahahahahaha........ unless sds makes that a little Billy requirement too. Elite cards are too easy to get this year.

It took 7 pitches and 4 swings for me....it's a free 99 card. I wish they would make these more difficult.

took like maybe 10 minutes to complete with most of the time in the menus! I don't think any went more than three batters deep!

I've done Extreme Conquest and Showdown in the past.
I certainly aren't afraid of them why? Because I'm Parallel 5 in life, lol.

Showdowns aren’t that bad. Simulating conquest maps is that bad.

I usually avoid showdowns like the plague because I'm really terrible at them, but I took a quick look at this one and it seems so dumbed down that even a bad player like me should be able to handle it.

I can confirm that this showdown is super easy. If only more showdowns were this easy, or at least easier than most of them are.
