This is absolutely ridiculous that any player can get a bunt down to advance a runner or suicide squeeze. Yes I know there is bunt defense and all this but you shouldn't be able to get down a bunt with a guy that has never bunted in his entire life. It's just stupid there should be some sort of skill involved including the same way you hit the ball with Zone and timing. You shouldn't just hold a button and put a ball and play with no skill whatsoever it's stupid. Miguel Cabrera bunting the winning runner in the bottom of the 9th on a 3-2 count is absolutely absurd. Littls Billy loves to bunt with power hitters.

I swear - someone at SDS at the programmer level must love bunting. No other explanation for how they make it so easy for people to exploit (without fixing) and how the CPU always drops bunts down as well and often in really dumb situations. I personally hate bunting and can generally defend it but wish it wasn’t so easy to exploit.

That's exactly what it is in this game, an exploit. A crutch.

Crazy part is, players today don't know what a bunt is.
Pitchers can't even get down a sacrifice 75% of the time.
    Definitely a lost art.

Harper has 37 attempts bunting against the shift this year, of the 10 or so that made it in play he has hits on at least 6.and thats only the games i watched. Odubel also had a bunt 2run double against the shift a few days ago.

Thats very far and between. Let me know your stats on 230 lbs sluggers bunting routinely.

That's a 16 percent success rate he's better off hitting the ball anyway

Exactly! Bunting is stupid as you are generally just giving the other team a free out. Except of course in DD……

6 for 10 is a lot more than 16%. 37 times shown, some foul some pulled back, 10 down hit fair- at least 6 of them hits
