Wasn’t his best card last year with the Cardinals? I think they just try to change things up.

Yeah, but some cards just make no sense with certain teams since they didn't perform nearly as well. If you watch the game, which set up makes more sense statistically, A or B?

    A. Milestone 99 Angels Pujols and 2nd Half 97 Cardinals Pujols

    or

    B. Awards/MVP 99 Cardinals Pujols and Milestone 97 Angels Pujols

Well B wouldn’t work, because Milestone, Awards, Signature, or Prime are a player’s best card. So Pujols could only get one of those anyway. And with this being the year he achieved the milestone, it makes more sense to go that route.

I just meant they should have given the Angels the 97 card since he was not TRULY himself there, I'm kind of over it now. I just wish they would at least fix the 97 2nd half card, wrong number and wrong swing

As a Braves fan is sucks to see Maddux and Glavine in Mets and Cubs unis, but it is not that a big of a deal. And David Justice being an Indian.

Yeah, I’d understand a gripe from Braves fans, not Cards fans who have been spoiled for years.

You guys have been hosed with Maddux, Glavine, Justice, McGriff. Maybe you should get a postseason Mark Lemke!

He was part of a stud outfield at the time with Anderson and Salmon. I think SDS is showing some of us older guys some love with the nostalgia.

I like the different teams this year. It shows parity from the same cards over and over each year.

WHAT, the Braves have gotten just as many good cards as the Cardinals, if not MORE. The Cards have been a top 3 franchise of all time, their cards should be reflective of this. That's not being spoiled, but since youre a Brewers fan I would expect such nonsense from you.

Is an absolute joke from these bozos...even though he TRULY broke out with the Cards in 2000. I have a feeling these bums are going to give Pujols a milestone Angels card too even though most of their fans didn't care about him while he was there bc it was the Trout and now Ohtani show. The fact that they gave him a 97 Cardinals card (not even an accurate card) is a f'in disgrace from this studio, but you know they have to kiss up to the big markets.

So the Angels will have an eventual 99 Trout and 99 Pujols to go with 99 Edmonds and 99 2-way Ohtani...while the Cards barely get one 99 slugger...sometimes I really loathe these devs and their big market preferential treatment

I love SDS for giving him bad speed and reaction. Such an overrated defender. Great at getting bad jumps and making diving catches to make up for it, though.

All hail Andruw as the best defensive CF in history.

cough Ankiel and Carpenter sig series cough

They had an endgame card at every position in 19, with some to spare.

Molina, Pujols, Hornsby, Smith, Carpenter, Brock, Edmunds, Musial, Slaughter if I remember correctly.

I’d love to see more 90s and 2000s Braves like López, Furcal, Grissom, Pendleton, Giles, etc.

Hank Aaron could get a milestone Brewers card if they do RBI’s… If they ever add Randy his 300th win was with the Giants… other than daily missions and people who will only use the player whose uniform it is as a team build. It doesn’t matter.

I DO miss that Ankiel card, but be honest most of those listed weren't endgame.

Who cares what team their card shows? It's a great card and the name on the card says his name. Plug him into the line up and play him. People get so mad over the stupidest things

Yah by the end of his time with angels they completely had given up on Edmonds and were playing Garret Anderson in center if I’m not mistaken.

    Pretty much true!

Wow, grow up bud. I wasn’t insulting Cards fandom, just the sheer volume of StLou cards we’ve had the last 2 years and YOUR own whining. And throwing attempted insults (ouch, my fandom is under attack, how will I survive??) instead of addressing the point just shows how silly you’re being. Last year was the first that Atlanta’s big 3 have been in the game, and other than Chipper and Aaron THIS year, how did they have more?

Yeah. As an A's fan, that's how I remember him... he was pretty [censored] good as a California Angel. Those years from '95 to '98 were more than solid, and a young Edmonds, though overrated because of that amazing, over-the-head diving catch he made, was much better than it was in St. Louis.

Someone had mentioned the Angels giving up on him in '99; he was hurt. Had a shoulder surgery that a lot of people thought he wouldn't come back from...

Nah, they gave the Cardinal version an 87 veteran card, insulting lol. Should have been an 87-89 Breakout with Angels. Edmonds was an MVP candidate in STL from 2000-2005

I hear your frustration... and I sometimes feel the same way about A's players that pop up on cards elsewhere, but I just don't think it's the travesty you originally painted it as.

And I actually meant he was better defensively for the Angels, not overall (the power numbers in St. Louis made him a different kind of hitter) -- I think I'd left out a word or two.

I can agree with that, younger legs and bod. Bc even as a veteran he was an elite CF until his mid 30s. You dont see that often today
