I still play Red Dead every day but just to keep my daily streak going plus they have monthly outlaw passes. It would probably be more fun if my friends were still playing but they jumped ship a long time ago for CoD of all things.

Valid question IMO. The gameplay can lag when the servers are functioning. What I wonder is do online shooters drop the frame rate for everyone if one connection is off? I am curious about how it is handled as an IT guy.

So, my friend, are you happy with the overall online experience of The Show in relation to other, far more complex online games?
And I dont think anyone is crying- more frustration about a game that promises so much and often drops the ball.You may have misread my OP.
It was concerning the differences between sports games online stability and that of RPG type games. -

I log into RDR2 every day. Started on PS4 built my account up to lvl 295, then switched to PC and I am at lvl 312. Plenty of experience. That game has way more issues than MLB TS online. They just are not going to be noticed or as bothersome as in a game that focuses on such a small area of gameplay at a time. Hitting a 68-102mph pitch thrown by one person to someone on the other end of the connection trying to hit it will never be perfect. It is probably one of the most challenging online things to do correctly.

A lot if you are just starting. But the main complaint from people playing a while is there isnt enough to do now. I mainly just hop on to keep my daily streak going, but I have over 1200 gold bars and nothing to spend them on because they add very slowly to the game lol. Story was definitely better than online.

Non productive clearly you haven't looked at my history on this forum.
This post is non productive because of the 15 other "the servers are down post" we already have. Also this post doesn't exist if the server don't go down so really it's just a fancy way to say the servers are down.

Oh dang, the game is really down. Usually when I read this stuff it is isolated to just a few people or it is back working by the time I try to get on, but this time IT IS REAL.

So, in regard to my original question...
Does anybody know why sports games online are spotty at best, but games like GTA5 and RDR2 online rarely have trouble.I thought it was a good question!
