Until they fix the pitching and umpires strike zones this game is [censored] near unplayable. Every at bat goes to a full count, then foul off a few then the hanger...rinse and repeat...this is beyond broken.
It's been like that since 18 imo. 17 wasn't perfect either, but that was the last decent game before the steep decline started.

No this year is far worse than anything that came before...the strike zone calls are especially ridiculous.

Painting the corners in this game just doesn’t happen. If you think about it, most good/great pitchers in MLB both today and in the history of baseball, were masters at hitting the corners. Take Maddux for example- didn’t throw hard but was lethal manipulating the strike zone. You can’t do that in this current construct of the game.

My starting rotation of kluber, Oswalt, degrom and maddux have good control. But yet you have to throw pitches that are in the zone because we know the corners are call strikes about 30 percent of the time

Got the trifecta in my last ab against the CPU. 3 consecutive outs on good/squared up, perfect/perfect fly ball, good/ok (centered PCI) with Reggie Jackson, Eddie Mathews, and Gary Sanchez. Why SDS, why!

Meanwhile, you have dudes like YourFriendKyle and other “top” players praising this game. SDS must be filling their pockets with some of this money. This game is so broken right now.
It’s obvious they’ve gone greedy on us by sneaking the no sell players into the collections and locking the best player currently in this game behind a 1000$+ pay wall. WS rewards should be sought after and used in lineups. I’ve yet to see Pierre, Hornsby, or adley in a single line up. It’s just so obvious to me and I hate to see it -

They rewarded people well last year. I’m sure they will this year. It’s just early.
Mantle is end game. The collection reward always is. They aren’t going to put a 99 rated player in the first month of ranked.
I’m with everyone as far as gameplay having issues. But SDS is the least greedy company of any team building game out there. That you can’t knock. Mantle is rare and meant to be. Next year he will be available via WS reward, BR reward, or inning program. Just like Mays will be this year.
