And just like the movie, at the end SDS is sitting on a Beach, sucking down exotic tropical drinks and reaping the profits already earned while the game burns.
Well, it seems like this is the route they went this year:

It’s crazy to think someone actually did that in San Diego.

If you watch that scene carefully, you’ll noticed two things. One, the suspenders on Bob are actually belts. Two, look at the white dry erase board with the diagram titled “Planning to Plan”.
[censored]! Never noticed those suspenders before. Thx for pointing that out!
Also, watch the opening scene where you see the metal art in front of Initech. It’s a square peg trying to go into a round hole.
Mike Judge does a great job of incorporating small details that can get over looked in all his movies. I think they are more inside jokes for himself and the cast and crew. Like Lumbergh’s EarthForce Academy ring. Or swingline stapler that doesn’t exist

That's tame compared to L.A. and San Francisco these days!

As a result of the movie, Swingline started making a red stapler. I had one in my cube. People would take it for fun just to hear me say, “Excuse me. I believe you have my stapler.”

Oh yeah but this was actually based on a real event. Look up Jason Russell.

I did not know that. I tried to get one for college that was a few years after the movie came out. No one had a clue what I was trying to buy. This is pre Amazon ruling the world days. And most likely before the movie gained its cult status.

Yeah it wasn’t until it reached cult status that Swingline started making them. I was planning on dressing as Milton for Halloween this year with my red stapler but that isn’t happening as we are teleworking.

Wow! I imagine old Jason isn't allowed to go within 1000 yards of his charity these days!
