How do I add a player I purchased to my line up?

Hi,
So two questions,
One, I purchased Ken Griffey Jr, I wanted to add to my squad in Diamond dynasty in center field, but after I bought him I can not find any option to add to line up?And this brings me to my second question,
I have lots of players cards I own, but I dont know how to add them to my existing squad and line up whether they are pitchers or fielders or I just want them on my bench for times when I can use them.
I am stuck with the squad I have, I do get options to add players as I open packs of cards for example, but once I open them and move on, If I go to my inventory and mlb players and find the players in there I Cant find an option to add them to my squad or team or whatever later on.
Any help would be great.Recently I had a player from the fifth inning program I think, and when I got the card and did a few of the moments in stage 1 it asked me "add to line up?" and I said no, but then later decided yeah I actually want too, and then again, I wasnt able to, so I am missing something here and would really appreciate any help

In DD you need to scroll over to the tab that says “manage squad”. You can add players there. You’ll be able to set your lineup, bench, starting 5, and bullpen.

This. After you select 'Manage Squad' just go to the position you want to replace and hit 'X'. If it's the player's primary position (CF) for Griffey, he'll be in a list of players. The. Just select the player.
If you want to put Griffey i RF or LD; you have to select that position then R1 over to Secondary Position and look for him.
Also, if you want to place a new pitcher, just hit R2 on the batter screen and it will switch to Pitcher.
Also, you can make multiple lineups by hitting R1 on either screen. But you need to make sure you're on the lineup you want to use when you play a game.

I think that's just one question. But it is weird making your lineup. Sometimes you have to take a bench player, move him to the position of the player you would like to replace in the lineup. Then go over and click on that card and make the change. For example, if you want Griffey (centerfield card) as CF, click on current centerfielder card and make the change, or in the lineup, move current CF to bench and click on card of player from bench in the lineup to make the change. Hope that makes sense and what your looking for.

Well when I go to manage squad I only see the players actively in my current squad and the bench, how do I add players I own but havent assigned to my squad yet?
Like I purchased Ken Griffey Jr, but have never added him to my line up or squad as there was no option for that, I bought him in marketplace, so your saying now in manage squad I should be able to find him in there somewhere? -

On the manage screen simply highlight one of your bench players or your CF and hit the X button (probably the A button on Xbox) and you should see all your players you can substitute in.

I was getting really frustrated not figuring this out.
So I press the button for substitute and it will show me choices of all players that play that position that I own?

Well... This was refreshing. Such a wholesome thread with people genuinely helping a new player and no hate or poking fun.
Edit: To answer your last question. @lump321_XBL, Here is a list of the actual positions in DD for each arch. Your ballplayer, regardless of RTTS overall, will show up as a 65 Bronze. You can find him by selecting the "Ballplayer" filter in the manage lineup screen.

I set his load out to batting and fielding and then pressed "activate" but still he only showed up as a pitcher.You have to have a loadout that has LF as a Primary Position and have that Loadout as "ACTIVE" in order for your ball player to pop up as an available player at that position. I'm not sure if any of the Bronze Loadouts will allow you to put him in LF, but I could be mistaken

Thanks again for everyone who participated in this thread and my other thread, you folks are awesome!!There's a good Breakdown on Reddit that shows each Archetypes Primary Position along with Attributes and what Paths they "Evolve" into once they hit gold. I'm running the Silver Slugging Speedster and the Primary for that is LF. I think there are like 4 total Diamond Archetypes that have LF as Primary.
