My issue with the new Miguel Cabrera

Ok so this card is great. Especially for a free card. My only problem is I expect him to hit home runs and it's usually only doubles and singles. That would be fine but I feel like a first baseman should have power. On paper it says he has power. I am batting over .400 with him. I just parallel V Vlad Jr and he crushed everything. What do you guys think about Miguel?

Exactly the same with me. I have been hitting for a really high average with Miggy but mainly singles and doubles. Not getting many HRs with him so far. But yeah, Vlad Sr. has absolutely mashed for me.

I haven't used the new Cabrera, but that has always been my issue with him in the past. He has power on paper, but he's a slow singles machine that clogs up the bases.

Vlad Jr and Vlad Sr have been insane. My thing is once I parralel a guy to V I stop using him and work on someone else. Vlad Sr is at 3 right now.

I haven't really used him yet, but I have the same issue with Signature Piazza which wasn't a free card. He hits well, but considering his numbers, I expect much better.

I had that Piazza card too but I didn't like it at all so I sold him. I think All star JT is the best catcher. Schwarber and TA Savlador are really good too but JT is so good.

I will say this. His speed seems a little higher than 44 or whatever it is. He's not fast but he's somewhat quick, like first step quick.

Oh yeah, All Star ( the game, not TA) JT Realmuto is great. I'll give Miggy a try today and see how he is for me.

Ok. Cool. Let me know how he does for you. I waited til I reached 100 at bats with him to post this. He's good but I can't get elevation when hitting with him.

As you said that incrushed a home run to left with him. Lol he was unreal at zero parralel. Easily one of the best cards in the game. I know a lot of people really like Harper and I did too but I sold him. I think Vlad is as good or better than Harper for way cheaper.

[censored], I got Nolan who is insane as well but I'm kinda wishing I had selected Vlad Sr. I pulled a Trout a few weeks ago and sold him since I already have the live series completed. I should have bought Vlad Sr. Then but I went with Piazza 99 and Pujols 97. Pujols mashes, Piazza is a great hitter but not for much power. I'll save up and get Vlad Sr. Next.
