For those concerned let's do some math
35k daily XP limit
350k boss pack reward.35k x 10 days = 350k
Based on this if you just earned the daily xp and no other xp rewards it would take 10 days to get to the boss pack and 18 days to get to 600k.
Seeing as the shortest program to date was 21 days that is easily obtained.
Now based on that and the amount of people complaing that they earn more then the 35k per day does that mean you are to the boss pretty quick and then hit 600k not to long after so I have to ask what happen when you hit 600k and xp means nothing??? Do you stop playing for the next 12-17 days before the next program???
There is alot of people upset about this but I don't know if they actually understand how this all works or why they are really upset
Because it isn’t linear. Many people play very little during the week and a lot when they have time on weekends.
OK I can agree on the weekend point but again I stress we don't know of any other changes SDS is making to the programs. What if they add more XP rewards so yes XP for ganeplay is capped but their are more ways to earn XP via rewards to encourage this to ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME instead of exploiting it.
Give things time to play out
You have a lot of faith in a company who for years now still have runners diving back to bases on 2 out line drives.
See again this comment proves that this is less about the XP Cap and your just continued hatred of SDS.
If you hate the developers and by extension the game then why keep playing? You look for every excuse to dump on them. These are real people with a job and families to support that develop a digitally coded experience of the sport of baseball. Their are going to be flaws because it's a coded AI that is reacting to other code and ultimately is a dice role. Their is no independent human mind thinking about the play or 2 plays ahead. So yes I have faith in SDS to deliver the experience of a digital baseball experience.
You expect SDS to be perfect so you can enjoy the experience so when you are done with your JOB and your FAMILY and your RESPONSIBILITIES but forgetting that the people at SDS also have all of these are are not perfect.
I really hope in your life and your profession that you are above reproach.
That’s a hell of a strawman you built there. Congratulations on being a typical internet debater.
Are you made I used your own argument against you???
I'll say it again

Well my question would be this.Is it a PlayStation issue and not The Shows fault entirely? I mean is the problem caused by something that the game has no control over. Before an honest bony finger is pointed let us ponder that question.

Let us show some glitter of gratitude that SOMETHING is being attempted shall we gentleman?

I was planning on playing this morning before the new inning hit. Now? I'm not playing a game until after the new inning drops. Why should I waste any of my 35k xp for the day?
If SDS is putting in a daily XP cap then where's the meter showing you how much you've earned/got left to earn for the day? Y'all love having little bars all over your UI showing us our progress on every little thing. Where's the "Daily XP" bar? I want to know when I've gotten to the point that I'm wasting my time continuing to play the game for the day.

Complain about the XP cap all you want. Anybody that is playing a reasonable amount of hours or online at all isn't hitting that daily cap. Just people that grind the USA conquest over and over and literally don't do anything else. Offline players that play daily moments and a couple conquest games per day aren't hitting that cap. Online players aren't hitting it. It doesn't effect bonus XP from completing collections, player programs, showdown, RTTS archetypes. For 99% of us, we won't even notice it is there.
You're wrong. I play 6-8 hours a day. 15-20 games a day. At 3,000 XP a game I'm popped.

35k per day adds up to a little more than a million in a month. Even if all you did was play games without completing any content, you would still hit 650k well before the program ends. People who were grinding obsessively to finish early under the old system will still finish early under the new one. I’m not seeing a problem.
Right. I’m not seeing an issue here. So you won’t have the boss in 2 days. I mean no one else will either.

I showed you the math in another thread (and made a post showing the math) that you chose to ignore. It takes only 4-6 hours of play to hit the cap. On weekdays, sure very few will hit the cap. But many people like to or can only play on weekends and those caps will be easily hit on Saturday/Sunday.
Your math was faulty, as I showed and you ignored.
From your obsession on this topic, I can only deduce that you are one of the exploiters who used the glitches in order to complete the program in a day or so and now your bluff got called.
Sorry they took away your advantage.
Sorry, all you showed was that your reading comprehension was faulty.
Let me be clear, pre-double xp you can earn 1700xp a RTTS game as a pitcher or 1500+Xp a game in conquest. THOSE ARE WITHOUT DOUBLE XP. That equates to 4 hours to hit the cap in RTTS or 6 in DD.
I have never exploited xp, but I do like to play a lot on weekends when the wife and kid are at dance practice. I think you just need a 3rd grade math refresher.
650,000 inning cap / 35,000 daily limit = inning completed in 18.57 days. Let's call it 19.
Without any collections, conquest/showdown completions, double XP time frames, or any other bonuses, you can max out in 19 days. That means the remainder of the month is wasted XP anyway. Do you really care that much if the XP is wasted at the end of the month or the end of a long day when you have already earned 35K?

You talking about RS games or what? Because if thats true you are getting to 650k and maxing out the program with two weeks to spare without getting the bonus XP from completing missions, players programs etc. you will still complete the program, it just won't be as quick. There is no advantage maxing out the program with 2 weeks to spare rather than maxing it with a week to spare. If anything it encourages people to actually do the conquest maps and player programs. I was done with XP before the second conquest map and miggy came out. Its really not a big deal. Most players aren't hitting the 35k cap and thats a fact

Global pandemic. Let's tell our customers that we don't know how to fix our exploits and let's penalize legitimate people that might want to spend one day a month playing for 9 hours.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen a game company do in my 48 years of life as a "fix" for poorly designed experience gain.
SDS is now saying that "we don't know how to code XP properly, is we're going to cap it".
I have so much to say here.
THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF LAZY CODING.
My goodness, what a bad look.
A handful of people EXPLOIT your game, so instead of fixing the exploiting, let's screw people that might want to grind a few days a month.
A few years ago, there was an XP bug that limited the amount of weekly XP you got. I remember hitting it during a week of playing a bunch. Filed a report, came here to diagnose the issue and sure enough, the entire community was hit by it for 3 weeks.
This is going to be great seeing posts all day about XP not registering for someone that bangs out a conquest map and 2 showdowns in 6 hours and no longer get XP.
Don't even get me started on kids reporting griefing for not knowing how to lay off pitches out of the zone.
Well put! I think it just comes down to SDS being lazy. This may seem like an easy fix to them but I don't think it turns out well for them in the end.
And LOL at the grief report. What a dumb idea.

So you already play a lot for no XP. This isn't any different, you'll still be one of the first people with the boss and to finish the inning program.

Once again, it’s not linear. It’s not that you hit the cap every day it’s that for many players we get a day or 2 a week we can play a lot and other days very little. It’s a very amateurish fix to an exploit that could have been more easily addressed.

What a relief. Thought I was spending too much time on this game.

I usually only have time to play on the weekends (mostly offline), so I decided to do some math and see if this change really puts me at a disadvantage like some are claiming. For the sake of argument, let's assume 100% of my playing time is exclusively on weekends and I hit the cap every time.
Total XP earned: 70k per weekend x 4 weekends in a month = 280k.
These double xp weeks seem to be a regular thing now and the update specifically says that the cap will be raised to account for them, so let's assume they double the cap for a week and add another 70k to my total.
280k + 70k = 350k. From playing games alone, that puts me right at the boss pack. I'm already seeing their logic in choosing 35k as the cap number but now let's factor in the current inning's content.
Showdown: 35k + Conquests: 50k + Collections: 300k + Offline Daily Moments: roughly 2k per day or 16k for the month = about 401k
401k + 350k = 761k which is well over the required 650k, and that's without even touching the online content. It also doesn't factor in any of the smaller xp rewards that are frequently given for conquest map goals, individual moments etc.
Again, even for casual players I'm not seeing a problem.

When there was double XP a couple of weeks ago I played for a full day/night to take advantage thinking they weren’t going to bring it back until the next program. This was all games on rookie against the computer and I ended up with over 100,000. No glitching or anything like that, I’m really not a fan of this cap thing
So going literally all day and all night earned you 50K XP. So you have to play almost non-stop in order to hit the cap.
You ... kinda just validated their number.
People really don't understand what they are saying.
I'm sorry but if you are getting 35K xp through GAMEPLAY then you need to put the controller down, go outside, read a book, spend time with friends and/or family because that is a LOT of gameplay (esp this far into the game cycle).
That's not your place to say to people. People choose to spend their free time how they will. This cap is legit easy to hit for someone who enjoys the grind. I personally enjoy it and finish without glitches within 2 weeks (650k).

Okay… am I missing something here?!?!
Due to people glitching the game, SDS has decided to place an XP cap on all players rather than fix the glitch?
I am hoping when they say “through gameplay”, the XP cap doesn’t include collections. But even still, I grind over 35k XP a day when new innings come out. Now I will be playing much less.
How does SDS not see that making a decision like this only causes it’s player base to play the game less or even quit playing the game altogether. Whoever made this ludicrous decision needs to be fired immediately.
Fix the glitches!!
What glitch?

I've never hit the 650k inning cap on XP this year, but at least once an inning (usually more) I'll spend a full free day playing pretty much all day and will earn a good 50k or so from just game xp. While it's unlikely (for me) on a day in/day out basis, it isn't even remotely unlikely or impossible to bang out 10+ games in the span of a day if I have the time and just feel like playing a bunch of baseball.
This punishes those that don't have unlimited free time and have to binge play when they can just as much, if not more, than it does those SDS is trying to combat who are cheesing the system. That is my issue with it. The imbeciles cheesing xp will still do it, they'll just have to wait a bit longer now, and the people that haven't done anything wrong inadvertently get screwed if/when they play too much on a given day. It's a small percentage of players, I'm not pretending it isn't, but it's an un-fair slap to them while simply delaying the xp exploiters.
