Is it me, or has Battle Royale been super sweaty since the update yesterday? I know I'm pretty bad playing online, but in the last BR program (my 1st ever) I started a bit late and felt proud to scrounge up 79 program points. I figured if I committed to playing more games I'd be able to at the least get to the 80 pack... not so much. I went 0-2 last night and another 0-2 this morning. Every pitch thrown was high ton the black and my opponents were hitting curveballs in the dirt for homers. It was so confusing... I'll try again this afternoon, but I'm wondering if everyone was experiencing the same?

Were you facing supped up hitters? And did you have bronze pitcher? Sometimes it seems no matter what you throw, if you have a low level pitcher against a high level batter, the batter can crush anything they get the bat to.

That’s why I don’t even try BR. I suck enough at hitting online that I don’t feel the need to pay to lose. Sometimes I can hit but mostly I’m always very late. Meanwhile I’ll face guys that hit whatever I throw hard all the time. No matter where it is in the zone. Curves and sliders buried? No problem they’ll just go down and smoke them. Whenever I do get something going in a game offense wise, my opponent just bails.

Same thing happened to me last time. First week of the program I got something like 6-8 program points. By the second week a lot of the better players had finished and I went from 8 pts to 100 in a matter of about a week and a half. I was getting absolutely blasted that first week.

I definitely think the cream of the crop shows up first week, because it has the biggest payoff. Last season was really the first I have done BR and I started about a week late. Seemed like it didn't take me long to finish the program. I had a ton of fun, so I was looking forward to yesterday. Yesterday, I won my first three and then dropped two...next draft I am sitting at 2-1. However, I only have five points and I am coming nowhere close on missions. I have drafted Clippard and Alex Young...but with the players I am facing, I am just happy to be getting outs. The K's are going to have to come another day.

Got to 45 points yesterday but lost my 9-win game so was bummed. It’s just random in terms of matchups and results so at least to me it’s never sweaty. I enjoy BR as it’s generally pretty easy to hit and the only cost of a loss is a redraft which is fun anyway. Yesterday for whatever reason I was getting rewards with sometimes not great PCI placement and so put up a ton of runs (Live Series Semien was other worldly). Thanks RNG but that’s just means today I’ll likely square things up for outs….

I fell into a weekend long slump which was annoying. I had 80pts as of Thursday night and after 2 days of playing BR I gained 4 points total....Seemed like everything I hit had ridiculously high launch angles and low exit velos despite being almost centerish PCI.

Add in some general bad luck (giving up soft hits, getting robbed when I made good contact) it was super frustrating. Did manage to finish in time but definitely got super sweaty over the weekend.

Haven't tried new season yet as I need a BR break.

Omg you went 0-4!! That is no way possible. Something has to be up. We need the MIB to look into this please. Like right now

BR is so random because it’s 3 innings and on all star with bad pitchers against great hitters, you have to be on your “A” game every pitch to make a run. So yes, it is extremely sweaty which is why I don’t play it all the time 😂

I expect the first week to be more difficult but I didnt notice it being overly difficult. I managed to get 51 points in without playing a ton.

With the increased in points for missions, guys should be getting this done faster so I think the difficult period will be shorter then normal. I assume most hardcore BR players will have it done no later then the weekend.

I think you misunderstood. I'm not saying anything is up. I'm simply stating it felt much more intense yesterday (my guess is it was because so many were excited for Musual and Chapman) than it was the previous program. I'm an absolute noob who was happy to grind to 79 points in the last program whereas yesterday I could barely get a hit. Its all good though... its just a game. I'm going to play regardless. I love it. Was just wondering what everyone else's experiences were like. Thanks for responding though... I think the MIB have much more pressing needs.
