One thing I have noticed over and over again is that no matter what someone complains about there will always be someone, or sometimes multiple people, who feel the absolute need to post in the thread telling them how easy it was for them. That is not helpful at all.
It is a flex, and it is a way to jump in a thread and essentially say "Ha Ha, you are awful at the game. I am better than you" without actually using those words. And yes, I equate that to immaturity regardless of the actual posters age.
LOL. I wish I could give all you guys big ol hugs. It'll be ok. I promise
No need for a hug. Thanks anyway. I just appreciate you proving my point for me.
I don't know if I've ever seen so many passive aggressive men in a sports gaming community.
Like a bunch of ladies
I hope it's not lost on you that you're probably the biggest offender, and through all these posts have said nothing substantive other than to pick fights and troll.
Come on man. Your posts are irrelevant by now. You been bishing and moaning for years about the same stuff. Has it ever dawned on you to quit playing? Cause that's what I do when this game gets old. Year after year.

I visualize the people in here bragging like looking at themselves in the mirror. Probably flexing and kissing their arms.
Says the guy who spends his free time running up the score on the CPU on Rookie difficulty...
Lol. is that what I do? I play on rookie against the CPU? You know me so well, My online record isn't bad at all. I just enjoy the game more offline. So keep it moving and be "EZ".

To to be clear:
I don't care about how good you are, or how you like to play. But I think saying SDS did you dirty by asking you to complete a task which is minutely difficult to unlock one card, and forgetting about all the other freebie you've gotten along the way, is an awful take.
And you can have that opinion just like I can have the opinion that I don’t like it. It really comes down to how others like to play the game. I don’t go bashing online players about their gameplay. Why do online players have this need to bash offline players? We have opinions and can voice them. I don’t know why it bothers online players so much. It has zero effect on you. Let us play our way and you play yours.
I'm not bashing you at all.
I'm bashing your opinion SDS wronged you by doing this. They didn't. You get tons of free content for almost zero effort. Don't be a whiner when you don't have a clue how generous SDS is with this stuff. Go play an EA title and see what it's like to get nothing free.
I played Madden last year and I agree it was terrible for offline players. I played for maybe two months and put it down. I am well aware of how much SDS has done for offline players. The part some offline players disagree with is how all of a sudden they are requiring either doing showdown or playing online. This hasn’t been the case for any other program this year so why change it now? Finally, it’s not whining when sharing your opinion. Again, why do online players need to chime in on something that has no bearing on them? I don’t go around bashing players that complain about H2H modes. It has no bearing on my gameplay. I just move along.
"Just move along"
That's not how it works. If you post you opinion in a public place, especially to elicit feedback, people are going to tell you how they think whether or not they agree with it.
Ok. Fair enough. I honestly don’t want to argue about it. We shared our thoughts on the topic and our thoughts aren’t going to change. I do hope that online players in the future get online options to complete offline programs such as the Topps Now. I can understand how that would be annoying to you.

Okay, by my count: There's 8 stat missions @ 5 points each, so 40 points. 15 moments @ 2 points, and 2 more @ 4 points, so 38 points total. 20 points for the conquest, and 20 for the showdown. By my count that's a total of 118 points available offline.
What exactly is the issue here? You can't get it without having to actually mindlessly play against a dumbed down CPU? I guess then you should just settle for the 99 overall pitcher, although not sure how necessary that is if all you do is play against a dumbed down CPU.
Is thst necessary to be like that? Not everyone wants to play online. Not everyone is good online. Some people struggle at one thing while u might struggle against something else. No need to be a d$$k about it. You could've just read it and kept it moving. We all get older but we don't all grow up.
Pretty much this. And it can be difficult to "git gud" at online. I'm not that good online so I rarely play it. Some people are just really good and seem to hit everything no matter the pitch or location, in the zone or not, very very hard. It's tough when you constantly get matched up with players like that. Then you have the toxicity of it all with people constantly pausing or going into the quick menu, holding R2, letting the pause clock run down until it asks you to forfeit their game, you say no and they continue to pause the game, the people that get down by a couple of runs and then bail, etc. I wanted to complete the online missions for the Roberts Program last night and I had to start several games just to get the 10 ks because people would quit in the middle of the game because they were down 2-0 or something. I'm not that good, you're probably going to beat me...haha.

To be fair, I think the point was that they added some moments to assist in completing the program and it still brings you 2 stars short.

I thought that I could complete the FOD program after they added those extra moments from the game. I completed those, got the Felix strikeouts, and.....
I have two more program points to earn before I can complete the program.
This is just cruel to offline players who hate showdown. Just cruel.
That sucks man

Why does it bother you how offline people like to play? It’s not as though we are going online to ruin your fun even though SDS keeps trying to push offline players online. Not everyone is overly competitive and cares about beating another person in a video game. I want to relax, play with my favorite players, and collect cards. Showdown is nothing but frustration to some people. Nothing like playing for 20+ minutes just to get nothing and being told by online players to “get gud”.
Exactly! Preach, man
-
It does suck for offline only players, I assume SDS will add an exchange or something to get you guys over the hump. I will say though that if you load up on White Sox pitchers you can get the 10 Ks pretty fast. Took me two event games, now I just gotta get the Ks with Felix and then Clemente is mine.

Isnt showdown offline
-
What’s up, everyone! I claim both - I have love for both online and offline. Here’s my mode rankings that no one asked for:
- Showdown (no other offline mode gives me the same kind of sweat)
- Battle Royale
- Events
- Custom League
- Conquest

See, this is a good example of finding a way to get the last 2 points. Another poster said earlier using speed cheese (drag bunt, steal, steal, squeeze) to try to squeak out a few event wins. The idea SDS did you guys dirty is way overblown, especially with all the free content they've made available.

You don’t need showdown. I completed without it. Do your moments and missions. Win 5 event games.

I just did all the moments and conquest. And I finished it off with 10 strikeouts online with White Sox pitchers. You can do the Brooks,Henke and Felix moments online. I lost the online game by 1 run which is fine but I got Climente. Thats all I wanted. You can do it. Good luck.
