…who do you pull for the rest of the way?
I’ve…I mean my friend has always liked Gallo and wouldn’t mind rooting for Rizzo to win another ring. Also likes the idea of Toronto or the Padres winning one. Lots of good reasons to root for lots of teams.

The Giants, i was/am a big Kris Bryant fan. Inreally hope he considers returning next year but i wish him all the best in San Francisco.

Kris Bryant isn't coming back to Chicago. Boras made that extremely clear with the service date issue. I expect since he is from Vegas area he would prefer to stay in the west coast somewhere. Not sure what SF's budget is for next year but if they go deep in playoffs maybe they have a chance on a resign.
In order for the Cubs to rebuild the quickest would not to be signing big contracts for 2022 season. I expect them to be bad for 1 or 2 seasons, then competitive, and depending on where they are at the deadline in season 3 make a move to take a shot at the playoffs. Cub fans still have the same ownership that worked hard and ended the drought, I hope they give them the chance to rebuild this time.
They don't have to rebuild the entire farm system and front office organization. They deserve the time to prove their intentions.

As an A’s fan, I have years of experience with the exact situation that Cubs fans find themselves in today. I usually deal with it by focusing more heavily on football.
