It's only 10 points, so you've still got to do Showdown or the Event wins or the Online stats.
10 points is fine because I pitch really well online but hitting can be a struggle if the connection is bad. Some games I barely miss a pitch. Next game I can't hit a beach ball if it was thrown in there.
Yeah I’m in the same boat. I will play online to grind missions but I really don’t get a lot of enjoyment out of it. The fact that it’s Yankees hitting with ChiSox pitching means I can kill 2 birds with one stone as well

Honestly, the k’s and hit were way easier than I expected and I NEVER play online anymore…..until this.

So I did the math and u you can finish the field of dreams without playing online. U have to do the Brooks Robinson and Felix missions.

No, not really. You can only get to 98 withoujt Showdown or online.

I know, my friend, I know.
I'm trying to get Events wins, and I've somehow been able to get to 4. But I'm currently on a 6 game losing streak. I freaking suck.
I was like that for the past 3 days. So frustrating! Today I faced a WS player ( I suck, not a WS player!) and I beat him for my final win, soooooo glad that's over!! I had 9 straight losses.

I had a feeling they were going to do this but I still put myself through completing showdown yesterday anyway.
just got past Grove, gonna do these moments to get Clemente then come back and finish the showdown after. my 1st attempt at Felix i scored 7 so i know i can hit him.it will feel good to beat it after all the bs.
Yep my first time vs Felix I scored 7 to make it 20-19 so like you, I knew he was hitable. 3rd time around went into the Felix battle 20-12 again, but this time scored 9 runs with 1 out left to get the 20 points.

The showdown was really not that bad... Don't swing until you're at 2 strikes and his confidence falls pretty quickly, obviously use the steal cheese too. Took me 7 outs to get 10 runs and I'm not good online

Thanks to the new missions, I was 2 points shy, and as I said, I stumbled my way into enough White Sox K’s to get Clemente!!
And since I was already halfway thru Showdown, I decided to finish it up just to clear it out and get some reward Stubbs.
Then I beat it. After I didn’t have to.
Maybe cuz the pressure was off??Either way, I’m stoked to get Clemente & the 5th inning XP!

1st run down 20-9 hit 5 hr got to 16 before i stopped hitting. saw new missions but when saw them on rookie went with the showdown first so i didnt kill my timing.
all of the bs that plagued my first 2 attempts didnt happen and i made it to felix with 14.
didnt hit like the first time but made it to 19 with a handful of outs left and got a tying double with 2 outs fly out and then down to last strike and Schmidt hit a walkoff hr to win 22-20. funky- strung some hits got some runs very confident then lost focus maybe and made bunch of outs in a row.
SD seems to go like that, but stick with it stay calm get back in a groove and can beat it.
Didnt find out till after that showdown was still necessary. Glad i beat it, got to skip a lot of moments . -
