I'm in the same boat of hating showdown and not playing online. I've gotten as far as I can with this program. I'm not giving myself the headache of showdown or online play. I put too much stress on myself I guess, but neither of those things are for me and I'm good with that.
That's where I'm at too. Unless they add a collection or repeatable offline mission I'll be at 83 points and short of Felix and Clemente and that's fine.
Earlier in the year I might have forced myself to do showdown but at this point I'm only interested in having fun and that mode is pretty much the polar opposite.

What are the online missions?
16 points for every 5 event wins (repeatable)
and I think 5 pts for 10 White Sox Ks and 10 hits for Yankee batters for 5
so for offline or online, just stack your team with yankees and whitesox players right?
The yankees hits and White sox Ks is online only. The rest of the missions can be offline

This showdown takes a while but honestly (for someone that hates showdown and never plays it) it was pretty easy. Started final boss with 16/20.

I got to the 3rd bit in showdown and my runner on 2nd disappeared. So ground the event instead.

Stop looking for handouts guy…. Win 15 event games, complete the online missions, do the rest of the missions offline and do a few moments. It’s very simple… took me 3 hours to complete

Online like someone said is 75% cheese = No fun ... staying #StressFree all year
Showdowns = Not into themI think in about a couple weeks they might add a repeatable offline mission.

I just don't like showdown because it's not YOUR team. Should be set up sorta like events. You have to use X amount of certain cards to field a team. Then each round you pass you can add certain caliber players or card types.

FWIW; I'm a strictly offline player who has only done the Bieber showdown and I was able to beat the FoD Showdown. Went in down 15-20 and won w/11 outs left. If I can do it, anyone can dot it. All it cost me was time. Now I got King Felix and I'm a few conquest games away from Clemente and all that sweet, sweet 5th inning exp. You can do it. I believe in you.

I'm assuming Felix is the final boss of this showdown. I might try it tonight, though I think the 5 wins might be the way to go, and it is repeatable.

Played 4 event games lost two on people bunting it’s just not fun playing online IMO

i dont do online but played 2 events. Got like 5 K's so at least there's that. Lost both games, they were close, but i dont' care about W or L. Get me the 10 Ks for the WSox and at least one mission is done.
I did the math and if you can't beat the showdown you have to win the 5 games otherwise it only takes you to 98 points. So i'm aiming at 5 wins because I really suck at showdown.
Honestly I dont consider myself great online at all but in this event you arent facing very skilled people unless you get more then 6 wins in a run. I think you will be suprised that racking up 5 wins wont take that long. good luck

I played events today and yesterday. I think my overall record is 1-10. At least I know I won one game.
Even the 1 win wasn't fun.
But i did get the 10 points for WSox K's and Yankee's Hits.
