Things you Do Year to Year that you shouldn't
-
Buying packs. I literally have a post-it note saying "Don't buy packs" on my monitor. I can't resist the urge.
-
Second buying packs. I’ll flip and start feeling good. And then I’ll buy packs. Headlines, kitchen sinks.... if it’s a specialty pack I buy them all
-
Headliners. I've spent 37.5k twice a week for 2 years
-
I'm going to be disciplined this year and not swing at the first pitch. I continue to fail miserably.
-
I always say I’ll play more ranked, but then I tell myself, but I need player X before I do and then I don’t end up doing it until September.

That’s me at the beginning of the game. Takes e over a month to get into ranked

For me it would be looking through this forum

Don't swing at pitches in the dirt.
Proceed to swing at pitches in the dirt

I love having a patient at bat where I work the count. I’m seeing these dirt balls, laying off. The 3-1, swing and miss. 3-2 cheat fastball or sinker high. Low ball in the dirt, I react and whiff

I tell myself every year that I'll work to build up a nice healthy pool of stubs before I make any major purchases so flipping isn't as much of a hassle, but there's always a shiny new card that I can't resist spending them on and I end up being broke all the time.

"I'm going to play online. I'm going to play online."
Haven't played an online game in two years, and probably have played 5 total games since it became a thing.
-
All of the above
-
swinging at bad pitches lol
-
Collecting as many different player cards as possible even though I know I will never use most of them with any regularity, if at all. Should be happy just putting together a nice lineup but nope my ocd won’t allow that.

Yep another lie I like to tell myself is “I will stop swinging at the first pitch 80% of the time”

Collecting is like 90% of the reason I play this game. The fact that I've never been able to finish a year with every single card is my biggest disappointment lol.

What is your rate of actually drawing the HL?
-
I'm a free swinger, it's my downfall a lot. I tend to be HR or nothing when it comes to hitting. I rely on my pitching for sure to win games. I def need to be more patient at the plate to be better at the game.

Not very good. I think I've pulled 7 headliners this year with every headliner pack bought and the free ones counted. Out of those 7, maybe 3 came out of the pack they were supposed to. I do have a pretty fair rate of pulling live series diamonds out of headliner packs though

Pretty much all of the above.
