You broke me down I pre-ordered the Dynasty Edition (over $130 with tax).
Haven't played the game since 2016. All the yapping in this forum drove me to it. It will probably be the same contrived experience it was in 2016 but, hey, maybe they've fixed things in the last 6 years.
I will be able to play it Monday. Yeehaa. Should be fun for about 2 weeks then slowly but surely the lack of reality will set in and I'll be heading to the EA forums flaming FUT...edit MUT.
I've already been their flaming FUT after the brief excursion the past 3 weeks didn't turn out very well. The DDA in that game makes The Show's look non-existent.

It got pretty good reviews, but what game doesn't that EA markets. I quit putting a lot of stock in reviews a long time ago.

I hear ya'. Madden is a game which demands a cautious optimism at best, after all it is an EA creation. With the steady declination of gameplay the past several years (let's say 5 just as a number of years) I know what I am getting into each year, perhaps disappointment but maybe just maybe this year ........... we love sports games and EA has the NFL game for us so we follow our hearts. It is the second year on Next Gen consoles and hopefully they (the Devs) have strived for a better gameplay model. They say hope springs eternal well perhaps this year Fall drops us a miracle, ...... a genuinely refined Madden game which is playable and fun. We can hope, however cautiously that hope in us allows. I'm not so sure you're correct. Marketing is quite the subliminal and crafty beast. I bought it after a The Show forums kept panning it. Motivation and inspiration comes in many forms/forums.
