According to the patch notes they will decrease the break on those pitches when aimed to be thrown high in the zone. Let’s see how it plays out, update was deployed this morning

Higher the aiming, it moves less.

The last console Madden I bought was 04 and one for the Psp in 08. I mainly did franchise because I don't have any friends who like sports or sport games other than NBA Jam or NES hockey lol

"Wait so you think being able to “contact swing” and hit BOMBS regularly was a realistic/good thing?? What’s the point of having normal or power swing in that case? Why not just have one swing. There was absolutely no upside in using power or normal before they nerfed it and that’s ridiculous. A contact swing is supposed to be a compact swing that you use when behind in the count to decrease the likelihood of striking out. Thus the trade off in power. I heard wayyyyyy more people complaining about it being overpowered and you’re the first I’ve seen that didn’t want it nerfed so I’m not so sure you’re correct in assuming there will be an exodus due to that update. It was a very cheap way to play the game and I say good riddance. " So this is where you and I disagree, I believe as I have witnessed in real life baseball that YES many bombs are in fact hit using a lesser aggressive swing /contact swing than meets the eye. Not all, but certainly significantly. Example, what a contact swing could accomplish in OLD Yankee Stadium (pre 1985) vs today's Yankee Stadium are vastly different. In fact in the 60's and 70's Yankee Stadium where the fences were 457 and 461 feet from home plate now only 399 and 408 ft separate home plate from a HR. Today Stanton Judge Voit etc etc even the likes of a Torres can emass a HR in new stadiums in MLB including Yankee Stadium via the contact swing (even broken bat HRs) it is in fact natural to expect BOMBS can be hit with a contact swing executed in the proper manner. But what I am saying goes further than the narrow view you are talking about here, it is not just BOMBS being hit using contact vs normal and power swings thus making them obsolete. NO, SDS when they removed the contact swings efficacy also removed much of the other residual effects of the contact swing and lent itself towards a locked animations set in the game where double plays and lofted/half hearted fly balls and even perfect perfect swings suffered as well. It just became too soft over all in hitting prowess and dumbed down the abilities of hitting overall. I still hit BOMBS with contact swing, it is there still just not as numerous perhaps. My observation is that the gameplay from an offensive standpoint deteriorated exponentially after the update against contact swing efficacy. That is what I have experienced. Now, if say in some quest to obtain 8 extra base hits for a certain player in order to get 5 points and further progress in a program the boosted contact swing gets me closer to that objective faster so for example I get a choice pack or better yet a Kitchen sink choice pack, GREAT! Bombs away that is why we play the game to gain rewards!!!! So I get to that objective with say Gallo in half the at bats because I am contact swinging HRs, more power to me. The objective is to succeed achieve accomplish goals .............. who wins if that is nerfed???????? SDS. By curtailing your ability, they draw out your attentions to the game and consume your valuable time which could say be used for spending time with family friends recreating etc etc. All in all, what I am saying is not conducive with what you infer that I am saying at least not totally. I am saying the contact swing nerf dropped the game into a unavoidable hole of locked animations, dull scripted gameplay which is predicated on those animations and AI generated cheats and sufferable outcomes rather than efficacious outcomes resulting in greater enjoyment, ya' know Fun! I'm sitting here at a huge conference for work in Las Vegas. I read this and let out an audible gasp that everyone could hear through my mask. I don't know how I'll make it through the afternoon.

I will not be switching to Madden. It’s a cash grabby EA product, so they won’t have my money.
Also the gameplay would suck. Anyone see the “I can’t make this $&?! up” madden videos?
