So you would rather have let’s say one program drop every month that’s longer and takes more to do for the same reward than a program of some type drop every week that’s shorter? That’s a new one for me.
Nope, just something to work on between all the easy stuff. Like multiple extreme programs/conquest/moments through the year.
-
I think that as a general rule people stay more involved when the goals are shorter and more manageable. And as mentioned by someone else I assume that SDS has the numbers to back this up. They would be stupid not to keep statistics on player engagement.
Back in 18 when everything was one big stats grind for those immortals, I quit the game in May when I realized that I was not going to get them done. I had all of 50 hours invested that year (that was the year I think they also added Archetypes to RTTS and I was not a fan of that either).
Question: Aren't player parallels simply long stat grinds you work on long term?

Yea I’d take a big conquest extreme program drop for sure. But I’m guessing you mainly play offline. Which is fine of course because online can be frustrating but you do have to remember when you’re doing that you’re cutting out a huge portion of grinding. I know when o was playing online more a few weeks ago there is no way I could have done RS, BR and events and kept up with offline. I had to cut out some and choose what rewards I was going for.
Now if you’re getting 40 in RS, completing events and BR programs and doing all the offline stuff, I mean there’s only so much they can put out and making the programs longer isn’t going to fix it for you imo.

Fun Fact - since the early days of MMOs players have complained because the devs cannot produce content faster than players could consume it.
Only the hardcore players have everything done. I play a fair amount and I am still working on or will be soon be working on
TA3 Moments and Programs
5th Inning Program
Clemente player Program
Daily Moments
Player Evolution programs for the daily moments.
July POTM programMix in the steady stream of Topps now moments and a couple more Player programs and the average player can't keep up.
I'm not a hardcore player and I've done everything except Mookie and last week's TOPPS Now moments. Obviously I'll have one of the evolution cards unlocked today (JT!) but everything else is a cake walk.
Edit: Sorry, I'm only at 200k XP on the 5th inning program.

^^^ exactly! Offline content should be in addition to online content. If you are playing the entire DD game mode, there is no way you are out of things/content to grind for. Playing the computer on rookie all day is fun for you?
Challenge yourself and play online, you have to start somewhere

I play everything, just grinded out the BR program and have played about 120 RS games. Events are hit and miss for me, sometimes I will play them.

How much content are developers supposed to release? I played Madden last year and the content had long lulls between anything good multiple times.

i take the play online comment with a grain of salt. not that its wrong but why would i want to play online when its so inconsistent. its a coin flip if a fastball is coming in at 102 or 201. people would probably play online more if connectivity to each other wasnt such a glaring problem.

It works well for the important people (streamers) so I would be shocked if they ever made a change that helped.
Someone put that the servers are in Florida, New Jersey, Chicago, Texas, Denver and west coast. Coincidentally, majority of time I play people with these in their name it is not a good experience. Boston and NY included.

I'm curious how the King Felix milestone card from the program will play. We know he will have a sinker.

I was thinking about this yesterday lol. 10 rounds of showdown takes 30-45 mins; but if it’s a 5 round showdown, it should take about 20-30 mins. If the conquest is a 10 team (15 mins per game) and add 2 games to steal 5 mil fans equals out to about 3 hours. Totaling about 3 hours and 30 mins - 4 hours unless you have to redo showdown, which would suck lol

I'm the opposite. I got 18 at the end of the season, and played until 20. I didnt stop until I finished every program, team epic, and mission available. It was a feat that catered to a completionist mindset.
I fully understand I am in the minority for that, but at the same time there are many players whose goal it is to have every card. It's kind of the same mindset.

@chestnuts20_psn said in FoD Program/Event:
And they dropped the ball again. Don't get me wrong this is a great set of rewards but most of us will complete the majority of it in a few days and we are back to no reason to play the game. At least give us something that is challenging and stop putting all this time waste content out there. You can literally complete the majority of the content they have released with one eye on the screen and one on the tv. Everyone complains that it is too hard or takes too long because they are so use to the instant gratification and don't want to have to actually put forth any effort to get the rewards. Perfect example is people complaining daily about how hard moments are... that are on ROOKIE/VETERAN difficulty! The only thing we have to look forward to that is actually challenging is the Extreme Program/Conquest. GIVE US MORE LIKE THAT! Make us work for the content and not mindlessly grind buckets of easy [censored].
Why don't you do something else? Seriously....If you're a teenager still in high school, my sincerest apologies. But I'm a grown man, have a full time job, raising three children, I maybe squeeze in one ranked game a day, or a couple events games a day...There is no possible way I could complete all of the programs and engage in all the content SDS has put out all season. And if I had your kind of time....what I wouldn't give...Jesus....go outside bro, lift some weights, meet some women, learn how to cook, go experience life.....there is a whole treasure trove of life out there for you to experience...have some fun bro.
