I was able to get him right away because I never sell a card unless its a duplicate. Is he worth it if you have to buy cards to finish him? Not even close but he won't be the last set and everyone you use for him will go towards the next one anyway.

Personally yes. Probably not why you think tho. He will be a good 2B and great bench! But along the way to mookie you also have to have/get lots of really good cards that you have to have for him which means you will also get those cards on your team. You will need Ohtani and if you don’t already have him then when you get him you will have him and mookie. But if you were to say just lock in stubs then no because you don’t get the cards along the way. Thoughts?

I completely agree...the last few days I have heard so many comments about how many millions of stubs Mookie costs and it just isn't true. All the cards required to get Mookie costs the stubs and because you have those, you get Mookie. If you truly are spending millions of stubs just for Mookie, then you are doing it wrong. It definitely doesn't make sense to spend all the stubs for one card...but to spend them for the entire package is a completely different story.

People say you will never use all those cards...but if you play events consistently, you will definitely start using cards you never thought you would have.

So mookie doesn’t cost the stubs because all the cards you need to get mookie cost the stubs? I’ve heard it all.

Sorry if you don't get it...but Mookie didn't cost me a single stub. At noon on Tuesday I logged in and went to collections and clicked the buttons for the vouchers and then was given the option to add Mookie to my lineup. It didn't matter who the collection was, I would have collected them and none of them would have cost me any stubs. I already had more than enough cards...Mookie didn't cost me a thing. Diamond Dynasty is designed around collecting cards...hence why there are collections.

You're dumb. You spent stubs to get the cards to get him. There's zero chance you didn't have to buy any card used for him. Stop trying to be smart.

But how many stubs did he cost you?

He cost a ton. I had a lot of cards and 1.3 million. Went through all those stubs and had to sell Justice and a few other Awards players to get him. Probably shouldn't have but Mookie is one of my favorite players and it is a video game so I said [censored] it and pulled the trigger.

I've said that to myself several times since Mookies collection has been released and still haven't pulled the trigger on him.

If you bought all the cards straight up he’d cost about $5,000.

You can probably buy a signed Mookie Betts bat, ball and glove for that.

Not trying to be smart...just being honest. Everyone plays this game differently and that is fine. Some like Mookie and some don't. Some still need a lot of cards to get him and others didn't need anything. The cool thing about this gane is there are a million ways to play DD and none of them are the right way.

For some like myself, there was never a thought of how much he costs because I had the cards already. It would make no sense to try and figure out how much cards I already had would cost...not to mention the cost of cards changes daily and the cost for everyone is different depending on when they got the cards.

Very good point especially if you start from scratch right now.

As far as your Mookie bat, ball Jersey idea, for about $2100 you can get a signed ball, bat and Jersey from last year's World Series autographed by Mookie Betts (I was curious so I looked it up πŸ˜„).

Well, there we go. You can buy 2 of each and just sleep in the spare jersey at bed time.

    • but of course you won’t have the digital card with little to no value. πŸ˜‹

So very true. You know with the left over $800 you could probably fly to LA, stay overnight, get a ticket to a game & see Betts live. However like you said the down side is no digital card of Betts with zero value that you may or may not be able to hit with.
