Mookie. Worth it?
-
Personally yes. Probably not why you think tho. He will be a good 2B and great bench! But along the way to mookie you also have to have/get lots of really good cards that you have to have for him which means you will also get those cards on your team. You will need Ohtani and if you don’t already have him then when you get him you will have him and mookie. But if you were to say just lock in stubs then no because you don’t get the cards along the way. Thoughts?
-
Too expensive and would take too much time for me to actively try to get him based on where I am right now. I would rather spend that time playing games with my main team that I have already spent so much time putting together. Card looks great on paper though and would love to have him. I just don't want to put the time and effort into it.
-
In terms of comparing him to other cards you can get for free, no. Like Acuna, Harper probably will perform near the same.
That being said its something to do and shoot for so ill eventually get there but not going out of my way to get it done sooner or anything. Just got Ohtani done yesterday when the prices for things dropped so ill be approaching Mookie in a similar fashion
-
so harper and Vlad sr cards are statistically the same
but i couldn't hit [censored] with harper, while Vlad SR i rake -

I completely agree...the last few days I have heard so many comments about how many millions of stubs Mookie costs and it just isn't true. All the cards required to get Mookie costs the stubs and because you have those, you get Mookie. If you truly are spending millions of stubs just for Mookie, then you are doing it wrong. It definitely doesn't make sense to spend all the stubs for one card...but to spend them for the entire package is a completely different story.
People say you will never use all those cards...but if you play events consistently, you will definitely start using cards you never thought you would have.

If your not a broke boy he is awesome!!
-
The Topps Now cards will probably be a viable alternative by the time I'm able to pull the trigger.
-
I am sure I will end up with him before I stop playing the game, but right now I have no interest in this card. There are plenty of other RF's, I play Soriano at 2nd and am working toward Jackie. So, this card would be a bench at best.

You don't need Ohtani. The monthly award voucher isn't on the Mookie tab yet, which after tomorrow will enable you to skip one. It's the one I will skip, and just wait for him while they're handing out packs and prices are tanking.
-
am i getting him today, no
by the end of season, most likely as itll be something for me to complete
im missing 4-7 cards guesstimate per sub category for the collection -
he is well worth it to me.
-
I'll get him, i'm about 40 cards away. However, Vlad, Bryce, Larry Walker, Acuna, and Trea are all fantastic options. So there are cheaper options, that too me will be just as good. Its more about showing off how big my....microphone is.
-
There are already several top tier RF/2B righty batters available for the Mookie card to be a necessity. When you have righties Jackie, Vlad Sr., Soriano, Acuna, Stanton, Sanberg, Trea Turner, etc., available for RF or 2B (along with a future 99 Clemente card), the Mookie card is not worth breaking the bank for. In addition, having lefties Harper, Walker, or Morgan available for playing at either RF or 2B, even further reduces the necessity of spending for the Betts card.
-
Jackie is all I need for 2nd base.
-
if you got jackie already no not really.
but i got him and he replaced jackie for me at 2b

So mookie doesn’t cost the stubs because all the cards you need to get mookie cost the stubs? I’ve heard it all.
-
I hope I get him by at least January so I can actually use him for a good amount of time. They will release new free cards that will make him cheaper over time

Sorry if you don't get it...but Mookie didn't cost me a single stub. At noon on Tuesday I logged in and went to collections and clicked the buttons for the vouchers and then was given the option to add Mookie to my lineup. It didn't matter who the collection was, I would have collected them and none of them would have cost me any stubs. I already had more than enough cards...Mookie didn't cost me a thing. Diamond Dynasty is designed around collecting cards...hence why there are collections.

Just stop. All the cards you need for Mookie will also be needed for the next collection and then some. There's a good chance there will be one more after that, and all the cards you'll need for the next one, will also be needed for the final one. Now if you don't want Aaron, Mantle, Trout, or whoever the final collect is, then yeah, you don't need to collect for Mookie. If, however, you do want the final collect, you'll have Mookie and whoever else is in the collect path.
