Garbage takes in here. For the competitive tournaments with roster limits, the TN cards are absolute god sends. Juiced power and contact for guys in the 93-94 range, which is perfect for the roster composition.

Garbage response here. Just because an opinion doesn’t match yours, doesn’t make it garbage. Everyone doesn’t play in tournaments. I’d guess a very small percentage of players do.

The thread is about 93/94/95 juiced hitting stats for TN players. Everyone seems to agree they are not needed relative to their performance IRL and other star cards in the game. That is just not true, and it is painfully obvious what SDS is doing with them.

Forgive me if I offended you by saying it is a garbage take. It is an uninformed take.

They could add players who actually deserve those stats instead of inflating players who’ve had maybe 1 or 2 good games in their career. Just because people like to have cards that represent a player’s actual skill IRL, doesn’t make it uninformed. It’s just a different opinion than yours.

Why are Topps Now cards accepted and Future Stars/Prospects crapped upon?

To be fair I think the same people that don't like topps now cards also don't like future stars, they are just more vocal about future stars. 90% of us don't care

Personally, in my own view, they are awesome at engaging people with the new crop of top talent in the game.

I feel the same about all of them. They would be awesome mid-tier cards. Cap TN, Prospect, and FS cards at like 90-92 overall and I think they’d be awesome.

I'm the same, but I also couldn't care less about the Number on the Shield. I pick my lineups on the guys splits and Defensive stats. But I also don't play on-line so I see other people's prerogatives.

do we really need 95 TN hitters? I'd rather we were getting some Golds and Silvers every week, creating a great source of options for Events.

If you feel this way about Topps Now I'd like to know what you think about Future Stars?

At least the Tops Now guys put up a solid month of stats to "earn" their TN cards.

No they didn’t. They are mostly one game performances. Sometimes just one AB.

I kid, but to be honest give me as many diamonds as possible, it’s a fun fantasy mode, I know Jasson Dominguez will never be as good as Mickey Mantle, hell, he probably won’t be as good as Bernie Williams, but Topps Now and Future Stars kind of grow the game for casual players, because you get to know players you probably wouldn’t‘ve otherwise.

The only future stars card I don’t like is Edward Cabrera, because I can’t hit him and it seems like everybody else can.

That Dansby card is possibly a top 5 SS right now.

I don't like Edward Cabrera either, but its not even the 100 MPH sinker either. I don't see Zack Britton, Gregory Soto, or Alex Reyes talked about as OP. People aren't restarting their drafts in BR if they don't get Graterol in the pen. Outlier sinkers are worse than regular sinkers. The only reason Cabrera is even good is because his release point makes the ball shoot like a cannon out of the hand
