I'm a .280 hitter in RS (not great, but also dealing with an old-gen system) and a .383 hitter in BR with two flawless under my belt, and I just have to say to all the naysayers here:

... Yeah actually you're right, the game is no fun with Degrom

    Gotcha didn't I?

It's ridiculous when you factor in framerate drops. I'm ok against Degrom. I can make contact if I figure out their pattern. But then when I have two runners on, the framerate lag kick in hard, and it's 9 straight pitches that all look like strikes as they stutter into the plate as I drop to the high 30s in frames per second.

They've had OP cards before, but nothing like this. Newhouser was pretty OP for most of last season but when you saw him enough, you knew he was bound to hang one.

Adding extreme control to these fireballers, combined with all the other little issues that have gone unresolved, makes Degrom an auto-quit for me. I've said [censored] it to World Series, something I made last year. Might become a BR hero and try to get one of those fancy 5,10,25x banners instead.

The worst part is whether they know it or not, they're going to lose people to Madden and 2K over one free card.

Does framerate really drop with runners on? No wonder I suck so bad with runners in scoring position lol

Generally people start pitching really fast with runners on, plus the pitcher pitches from the stretch instead of a wind-up.

Use R2 to slow or down if needed.

Not really. People going to madden and 2K were always going to madden and 2K. Like me, I am going back to madden BUT my intention had always been to keep time in the game with at least a 5-6 RS games a week. I don't see that happening now.

I have been 1 game away from 800 for a week now. I have Degrom fresh and ready to go as my SP for that game and yet I can't stomach another game on HOF facing Degrom or Cabrera and 1-0, or 2-1 games that take 13 innings to complete.

Maybe it’s because Ryan is new and not seen a bunch yet but I have a harder time with his FB than DeGroms.

That said the slider is what seams to be a cheat code on DeGrom, that thing looks to be a FB 90 percent of the way. You then have to sell out and guess on either FB or slider. Trying to time things online with inconsistent lag etc you are basically blind as you can never get a rhythm. It’s not fun by any stretch.

You know Degrom/Cabrera or whoever throws fast will usually go up and in during the at bat so i just wait for that and hit a lot of home runs on the first pitch

I played against Nolan Ryan for the first time on HoF and I literally had to swing as the ball was being released. And I’m not using the word literally figuratively. I literally mean than I literally had to start swinging as he released the ball. Maybe it was a poor connection, but it was no fun.

This is true and an overwhelming majority of my HRs come from high and inside but there are still a large portion of games where I'm all the way at the end of late even when I know when and where it is coming.

I live in a rural area where we only have one internet provider at the moment and I'm no tech wiz but my download speed is fine but I'm sure my 1-2 mbps upload speed isn't helping me when trying to hit degrom or cabrera....or anyone for that matter.

I've only thrown deGrom in one ranked game (I've only played like 12 or 13 total) and he had 22 Ks. It was fun for me... probably not my opponent.

That is 60% of the games for me no matter who is pitching. I've seen many Cliff Lee sinkers look like Cabrera on roids.

HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO TOUCH HIS FASTBALL IF YOU ARENT THE [censored] FLASH

I hit well against him almost every time. Have to be patient and sit fastball. Sounds simple but try taking until one strike, especially in the beginning, then pick up on his sequencing.
