Bryce Harper for NL MVP?
-
The man is on absolute FIRE since the ASG. He’s hitting .306 (11th in the league, 6th in NL) with a .974 OPS (5th in the league, 3rd in NL) and a .407 OBP (2nd in the league, 2nd in NL). If he keeps this up or even close, how does he not win MVP? #RingTheBell

Needs to get over 30-35 hrs to compensate for the low rbi totals.

Eh idk about that. If he can get to 25 I think that’s enough as long as his AVG stays above .300 as well. Acuna and Tatis are the only ones really ahead of them and both of them are out long term with injuries. Harper has a solid shot if he just keeps hitting and getting on base.

Highly doubtful if the Phillies don't win the division.
Padres will make the playoffs & Tatis has a WAR nearly double Harper's. My money is on him unless he goes under the knife to repair the shoulder.

Yeah obviously Tatis is still the front runner but his injury could play a huge role in the voting if he isn’t back soon and Harper continues this tear. If Tatis doesn’t come back, or does but misses a lot of games I think Harper is probably next best option especially if the Phillies win the division. If they don’t, but Harper stays hot he has a chance but it’ll be doubtful.

Do I or someone else need to list players with a higher WAR/stats (not including Acuna, Tatis and Degrom)?

You’re taking about trash bias opinion and this is coming from a Mets fan? Lol pot meet kettle.
WAR isn’t the only thing that determines MVP. Degrom has and will miss way too many games to be MVP (he’ll still get CY Young though) and Tatis is above Bryce right now but obviously that can change depending on how long he’s out. I listed out all Harper’s current stats so this isn’t just a “bias fan” throwing it out there for no reason. If Harper stays hot and the Phillies win the division he’ll be top 2 almost guaranteed.
But go ahead list your stats man…

You missed the not including...meaning I'm not including them, they're injured.
-
Bias Mets fan...buddy Degrom would be my third choice (between those three), Acuna and Tatis are absolute animals. It's sad that there hurt because they're each amazing.
-
I'll take Castellanos, Freeman, Trea Turner, Buehler, ...hell even Manny Machado when you factor-in his defense over the coif in RF.
But wait...I'm biased how could I include two NLE players that aren't on the Mets?
