Give Cubs SP Kyle Hendricks some love already! MLB leader in wins and he gets a downgrade!?

I get on to play Diamond Dynasty and to see whst SDS did with SP Kyle Hendricks from the Cubs after picking up his MAJOR LEAGUE LEADING 13th win (13-4 record) last night. Instead of getting an upgrade, he goes down from a silver 76 to a bronze 74!? Come on SDS. What is going on!!!??? I see gold pitchers in the live series doing much worse than Hendricks. And to make it worse, you have teammate Adbert Alzolay ranked silver 78!? How the heck...have you compared their stats!? Hendo had two bad starts at the BEGINNING of the year where he gave up 7 runs in both before you call out his ERA. He hasnt lost a game in almost three months. I'm not saying he should be diamond or anything, but man, give the guy his due credit. He definitely shouldnt be going down! Just like the ASG, he gets snubbed by SDS.

Also has a 4.66 FIP and a 1.275 WHIP. The worst he has ever had. Pitchers dont win games. Teams do. There is no attribute that looks at pitchers W/L. A pitcher with a 5-15 record and a 2.25 ERA is a WAY better pitcher than a pitcher with a 15-5 record and a 3.50 ERA (ask deGrom in years past).
Also I think Hendricks leads the league in the most hits given up. Thats not a good thing.

He’s kinda right. Of course great pitching wins you games most often than not but there are plenty pf exceptions.
Felix won the Cy Young in 2010 with a 13-12 record. You can pitch your * off and not win games due to lack of run support. Opposite also applies, awful pitchers win due to big time run support.
That’s why doing a deep dive into advanced metrics paints a better picture of an SP production

We were talking about Kyle Hendricks. Who has given up a league high 138 hits, he isnt getting any shutouts. But since he has 13 wins and doesnt pitch well his team will probably put up a nice number for him, well back then would have, maybe not now that they are all gone. SO a SP that gives up a 5 spot in 7 inn and wins 9-6 isnt as good as a pitcher who goes 7 and gives up 2 and loses 2-1. Thats what I am saying. W/L means nothing as a pitcher stat. It is a team stat.

Yes of course some instances your pitcher will definitely be the one who shines and wins you a game when your offense doesn’t show up but W and L aren’t the be all end all
