The stamina and confidence levels of my relievers & closers when they enter the game seemingly make no sense. Fully rested relievers oftentimes enter games with both meters well below full. Doesn't seem to matter the score, doesn't matter the scenario, doesn't matter their recent performance history either.

if I remember correctly, a couple of years back they tried to adjust the pitcher's confidence level based on their recent performance as well as the game scenario for relievers and the closer. Also, they began draining a pitcher's stamina faster once their confidence level fell below some invisible threshold.

That said, the whole system seems FUBAR today. Why would a fully rested reliever who has been performing well in recent games enter a game with significantly diminished confidence? Especially when I'm up by five or more runs???

Even more puzzling, why would they have diminished stamina when they enter the game when they are fully rested??? They aren't overworked, and I generally don't start warming up my relievers until my batters have one out in my half of the inning. Also, I'm mindful to place them in "Ready and Waiting" mode when they are warmed up.

As a coach and general manager, I would probably know if I had a bullpen full of drunks who were downing drinks at the bars the night before the game & came to the ballpark so hung over that it affected their performance... Either please allow me to place my relievers in a 30-day rehab facility to dry out; or take a look at your code and fix this illogical nonsense.
