I do agree that it gets lame and boring to face the same pitcher every other game. But it should get easier, and for me it does. The more often I face a certain guy, the easier he becomes to read and hit. So there's an upside in all of this, you just have to embrace that mentally and then start slapping him around.

I just want to know why every opponent is a carbon copy of the last. Madden wasn’t even this bad and there’s less players to choose from.

reason: EA rarely gives out top notch cards for free like SDS does
but the only reason you actually see some diversity in madden is because of theme teams. Take that away and you'll see carbon copy teams.

SDS does this every year : Kershaw/Ryan, Newhauser/Kluber, DeGrom/Cabrera…..I’ve suggested before that they need to come out with a new system where you’re not seeing the same 2 pitchers EVERY SINGLE GAME…Because that’s all you ever see now. I don’t know how you do it but something has to change.

- Stop handing out TOP pitching cards for free/minimal effort - Degrom should have been the AS collection master not Ohtani given the powerful nature of that Degrom card.

You can pitch just fine with nearly any pitcher thanks to PPP. Degrom just ruins your opponent’s chances to score one

Actually if there is a top five player at any position in Madden free for just grinding a little... you would see him constantly. This year was the least repetitive I've seen in Madden and it was still bad. The difference is there are too many boosts now in Madden so anybody can have there players boosted so it doesn't matter as much using different players. In this game it's impossible to use Degrom every game so if you are seeing him every other game, you just have bad luck. I use Degrom, but he only pitches every fifth RS game.

Crochet is often seen also. Don’t forget him.
Even the 87 Kopech card is hard to hit.

Friday was an off work day for me. I started around noon played exactly 10 H2H games. Trying to get to 40 wins. I faced Degrom 6 straight times. Yeah, I started complaining. 7th game was Cabrera. 8th was Cliff Lee. 9, 10…Degrom again. 8 out of 10 were Degrom. Helped me with the speed but when I ran into Cliff Lee on my 8th h2h my timing was so jacked I couldn’t hit anything.

Struck me out 17 times last night. Never though I would say that. But won 1-0 on a 469 foot bomb by Soriano lol.

I played 3 games this morning. All JDG.
One guy even started him with half stamina. That’s how good he is.
I hit my first RS bomb with him the other day though. Felt good.
I hate any outlier pitcher though. Doesn’t make the game at all fun.

I'm good with degrom as long as his stamina gets low. So fix it sds

This is the biggest problem right now. It doesn’t matter who the pitcher is they can throw 150 pitches and be fine.
Also I have no clue how to balance a degrom card as he is that good IRL, but he doesn’t throw 102 every pitch lol -
