Traded to the Jays, should be a good trade for Toronto.

Massive haul for the twins though. Which brings me to say this: How do the Dodgers keep getting away with highway robbery at the trade deadline year after year? Ruiz and Gray is a good haul for JUST Trea turner. They got a top 5 arm and a top 5 shortstop without giving away much at all really. Doesn't help that the Nationals seem to be having a full blown 2012 marlins fire sale but still

Yes giving up Austin Martin is sad and hard to believe. The Yankees didn't have to give up much either for 2 all stars.

I think teams get away with it because it is the best offer they are getting and it usually comes down to money and getting something back if you are not going to sign a player on an expiring contract for the following year.

Edit: I do think the Nationals could have got al least one more player from the dodgers.

Berrios is still under control for a year, Scherzer isn’t. Unsure on Turner.
Martin, although very good prospect has a concerning lack of power from what I’ve seen. Gotta pay to get I guess

Not to mention he didn’t have a set position with the Jays. They also have Martinez and Groshans in the system who seem to be further along.
Martin was playing everything from infield to outfield.
