And of course dude somehow launches a 3-run HR with the very next batter on a high sinker after not being able to touch the ball other than the 1 hit previous 3 innings. Oh and the HR didn't even have the ball touching pci. Grrrr. Lol

My question, is there a glitch that doesn't allow you to throw to first or did you not see it? I wouldn't have seen it but I've seen enough of these threads to watch for it now if I actually played a game online.

Hi there WarpedZilla, that was me you played. I agree... have no idea why Hamilton went to first on the first pitch. He wasn't hit by pitch. Yes, I did hit a homerun with Brian Roberts because I figured you would throw a high fastball to avoid a suicide squeeze and I was going to try and hit a fly ball. On my end the ball was in the PCI but on the high side. However, it really shouldn't have gone out or as far as it did.
Anyways, it something SDS needs to fix. I saw someone tag out the batter on a HBP yesterday. He was jogging to first and the catcher ran up and tagged him. I don't get it.

He didn't see it early enough (cause you can't, it's totally unexpected and bizarre) and by the time he did, it was too late to throw across to get a 99 speed Hamilton. SDS needs to fix it already though it seems to happen randomly.

Of course I didn't see it. Who would expect someone to go to 1st base after the 1st pitch of an inning?

No. I watched it. It looked like he knew a bunt was coming to move the runners over and tried to throw it inside so it would pop up.
If he knew that was going to happen, he would've been better off doing a pitch out and trying to catch the runner at third.Hamilton may have even got a strike called on him.
The video looks like that even though it was a strike, the game registered it as a bunt. Thus why the runner ran to 1st.

The runner didn't take off for first until after the play at 3rd was over...and the batter's reaction was obvious that is was a missed bunt.

I'm going with a HBP theory, but animation script failed. Also, the ball is considered dead, so allowing the runner to steal third is part of the script failure. Box score has Hamilton's "action" blank.
Please send a bug report and the video. I'm guessing that it's the extra inning rule that is causing something to fail.

HBP is a dead ball though. Runner shouldn't be allowed to advance to 3rd.

I've had this happen to me except I was up to bat and stole second then the fielder threw to first to get my batter out on a 1-0 count? Super confusing but it happened. got thrown out on a ball while jogging to first on a 1-0 count.

Sounds like there is some kind of bug with a 0-0 count being a ball and a steal attempt having the batter run to first for some unknown reason.

The only possible explanation is the ball clipped his hand but I'm gonna go with just some stupid glitch here
