If BB/9 is the majority of pitcher accuracy, then what does "control" do?

BB/9 = how easy or hard it is to use the pitching meter. Control = how accurate a pitcher is at hitting your your intended/user input spot.

I think control is actually a modifier of BB/9. The control rating you see is only for the pitch that has the highest control. That's why some pitchers might have a low BB/9 but they have one or two pitches that are easier to control, because the control rating on those pitches is higher. Sig Nolan Ryan in 18 was a prime example. His fastball was controllable and a want to say his curve, but his other pitches were much harder to control because his BB/9 was low and the control ratings on those other pitches was much lower than his top 2 pitches.

I always wonder this, but I’m pretty sure the bb/9 is a general control. Control rating applies to individual pitches (not sure the exact impact) but the control rating only shows the best control rating that pitcher has on one pitch
