Seems legit to me. I get quite a few walks when I play because I try to wait for the pitcher to throw strikes before I swing. Some pitchers in the game, just like in real life, never throw strikes. Their sole intention is to expand the strike zone and get batters to swing at pitches outside the strike zone.

So was in the process of doing the POTM Brian Reynolds challenge ( behind on potm ) anyhow I had to make a trip to the bathroom. Thought I paused the moment before I walked away only to get an achievement notice while on the toilet through my Xbox app. The CPU walked me 4 times and I got the ‘I’m walk-in here’ achievement while on the toilet. Moments are so weird

FWIW, I think it's funny and don't doubt you. It's wild how many balls a CPU pitcher with tanked confidence or energy will throw.
