Why do people play events and BR on All-Star difficulty?
-
I play on Legend holding the controller behind my back and blindfolded with my pinky up. Otherwise, the whole game feels like slow-pitch beachball.

Needs to be the same difficulty for everything so everything is uniform. Doesn’t matter how many rank points you get we should all be playing the same game. Statistics mean nothing because you don’t know what game mode or difficulty someone has been playing.
Either way player statistics don't mean anything? Who cares about other players stats? Having a variety of difficulties available online is best for their business and clearly is preferred by the responses you're getting. This seems like a weird flex followed by flawed logic.
Right? But how are players going to get into the MLBTS HOF if they dont accurately keep track of stats? It makes voting difficult for the committee. LOL.

I'm not trying to insult anyone, I'm just saying if you enjoy BR or events on All-star you're a peasant and don't deserve to play online games like me

Is it similar to how some people like slow pitch softball vs real baseball?
Really want to go after the BR rewards, but I don’t feel like hitting 25 mph fastballs with a tennis racket.
Because that’s what they are set at. Rather it be on HOF, oh well.

Pretty annoying because I’d like to earn the BR rewards, but I don’t feel like hitting 40 mph fastballs with a tennis racket.
At least they raised the pitch speeds from 25 to 40 after your initial whining.

That's nearly doubled the speed! How are so many of the AS-level losers going to be able to hit that kind of speed? Wouldn't that almost be like hitting on HOF or Legend?

still an equal playing field... your in the minority though.. most people would rather play games that are high scoring and close as opposed to 1-0 games where each team struggles to get 1 hit

For some of us, it's more fun. You're great at the game, congrats, but you're not the only type of player that likes to play.
I’m not really trying to insult anyone…not really that good either. I just don’t like playing easier versions of things.
I get where you're coming from but its difficult to balance realism vs fun in a lot of sports games because the player base is usually super segmented.
You have the hardcore players that get their "fun" from how realistic the game is. Then you have the not as hardcore player base that may love the sport but just want a fun experience. Too much realism can bring down the fun factor at times.
It's a difficult thing to balance as a developer

I’d be all for all-star type of gameplay if they just went with that across the board. I think all star type pci and timing windows with legend pitch speeds would be fun.

I don’t like BR or Events that much but I prefer to play RS on all star to the point I go back down and just go for 40. I don’t like playing 2-1 games with 35 Ks and 4 hits a game. It’s weird right.
Also for not wanting to be insulting to non WS players you sure did go out of your way to phrase the OP as pretty much an insult.

Once you get used to HOF and legend you hit a lot better.

Dropping down to all-star once you are used to legend is really nice…so easy to hit, but it takes a while to adjust when you go back up to legend.

Maybe you do. Believe it or not I play almost all all star in RS and 4 out of 5 games I’ll strike out my opponent 15+ times and hold them at like 4-5 hits. Not very many people are really that good at this game.

There's a reason most things are on all star.
I'll take "That is where the majority of players are" for $200 Alex

Really depends on what day and the opponent. I love HOF when it works but there are a lot of times I physically can't read or react to the ball. I have been to the WS all 4 seasons. I have to wait until a day I can read and react to pitches to make a WS run. I can't imagine most all star players trying to play HOF.

Are you a PS transplant who went to Xbox? Or is this your first year playing? First and foremost you don’t have to go flawless anymore, secondly allstar is the difficulty most of the player base plays on. As for your saying softball over baseball statement, is IRL if I throw 100 in high school, if I’m drafted it doesn’t get faster when I’m in the minors or make the mlb team. This community has ask for universal pitch speeds for years, but it won’t happen because SDS would lose to much business
