Gonna have to disagree here. My experience is that the better player generally wins. Not always but that's baseball.

Yes BS will happen at times it always has but the reality is this years game is hands down the hardest one. Between pinpoint, check swings, pci size it can be brutal. I strike out so much nowadays it’s almost embarrassing. I usually can sneak out the W as I’m 66-20 this year but my god has it been a roller coaster. SDS really has a tall task on one hand the skill gap has never been wider but on the other i bet there have never been so many ppl struggling like this year. I really feel as if they decided to make what was legend last year this years hof.

This is a lot of online games nowadays. It’s why Ghandi always said it was better to just play offline.

No one ever said offline gaming is better. No one.

Gonna have to find the exact quote but Ghandi definitely said it.

I think PPP has widened the skill gap but not in a way that it should. 80% accuracy with perfect release still allows players to dot corners with ease which means you better be an elite hitter to compete. Average hitters that are patient or have a good eye get punished by average PPP pitchers more than average PPP pitchers get punished by good hitters.

That's a skill gap but not one the game should encourage IMO.

Oh the got dam dots lol. On the flipside I am also dotting like never before but I agree PPP has been too easy I will say after the patch it’s been a bit harder but as soon as you have the motion down it’s easy to get green and blues. I know they wanted to answer for offspeed being bad last year and tbh I think PAR was the best addition since you can see where the ball is going to go. But it is what it is hopefully they make PPP harder

Most of the games I lose are to players who are better than me. I can be real and honest with myself and my abilities. #rarebreed

This guy a real one! A rare breed in fact. Not blaming anything but getting beat by someone better!

You hear that, fellow terrible players? Online games aren't decided by skill. You might logically assume that if you lose a lot then you need to work on getting better at the game, but the truth is that you're just really unlucky and the developers probably hate you.

So if you're like me and can't hit on anything above all star, you should go ahead and enter the summer circuit anyway because skill isn't a factor so you've got at least a 50-50 shot of winning the whole thing! When you inevitably get blown out in your first game, you can at least be secure in the knowledge that it wasn't your fault. The slot machine just didn't pull your way.

Hasn't par always been in the game, but this is just the first year they've actually showed it on all interfaces besides pulse?

More games are decided by poorly timed swings than anything else.

So what you're saying is that if you're not smiled enough to know when to swing; you will probably lose?

    Isn't that skill based?
