Can we please get catcher tags fixed?

This problem with catchers watching players run past them without tagging them sucks! Hard enough playing these people that bunt/steal/steal then try and steal home. 50% of the time my catcher doesn’t attempt to tag or dives when I try and tag. It is frustrating the hell outta me!

Can we also fix the lack of urgency on 1st baseman. Fast guy on 2nd. Ball is put in play, I throw to 1st and already have it loaded to throw home because I know the speed guy going to 3rd is guna round and go home. But instead the 1B just stands there and finally starts to throw home only when the runner is almost already to home plate.

We've been posting this issue for a while. Unfortunately, it's been a problem that continued from last year's MLB20 version. Crossing fingers for some resolution in next year's MLB22.
And to your point, a couple examples:

I’d like to include every shortstop going to their right and throwing a spin around seed to first for an out like they are Ozzie Smith every game.

YES! This is certainly a problem as well. Also, the assist to first base from the right fielder. Example: Acuna runs to catch a shallow hit to right, is not able to make the catch. The batter has “0” speed running to first and has made it nowhere near the bag at first. Why can’t Acuna have thrown him out at first? My first baseman is standing between first and second rather than by the bag at first.

The reason for that is it happened way too often in previous years. In real life that happens maybe 4 times a season across all teams. Last year in this game I had it happen probably once every 15 games

This needs to be fixed. If a runner gets caught between home and third with a runner behind them running to third your 3B will not come off the bag to run down any of the runners. When he throws home the catcher will miss the tag. Happens almost every time.

Yep except for when you actually need them to. I get tired of the hits in the hole with a fast runner and the ss comes to a complete stop before throwing to first. That’s exactly when the jump throw is needed.

Yeah but it should happen some. Now they just have the 1b standing right off the bag, no matter how close the play will be. That makes no sense.

Meanwhile every pitcher fields every thing hit at them and the catcher gets to every pop up or weak grounder before the batter is out of the box.
