How much of a grind is Acuna?

If you want to spend no money, the HR Derby stats are the hardest right now, because you do need to buy them.. on my secondary account, I bought the 4 cheaper ones (still 18k each right now), put all 4 at the top of the lineup, and just played away at coors field for a half inning at a time (quitting and restarting) until I got the stats I needed, then I sold them for a small profit. If you do it that way, Acuna is totally free with just grinding the Free AS Cards and moments
Uhh...you need some of them for the Ohtani collection though?

Yeah, seems like it could take a while if you didn't spend stubs on HRD and All Star packs. I currently don't have any at all.

Nope, but it's the ADD tendencies we have to get every card. That 99 Vlad jumped to 200k!!! Ugh, that's not going to be fun trying to get. I'll wait until they release a ton of AS packs in the next couple of conquests.

Why not just quit the game and start over? You don't get any reward for a game against the CPU on Rookie except maybe a common or bronze card.
It's funny you say that...I agree, BUT...the only Trout I've pulled this year was a reward from a rookie CPU grind game.
Did you buy a lottery ticket that day? I have been playing DD pretty heavy since 2017. I have won Trout more in BR than I have pulled him. 1-0. Pulling Trout doesn't ever enter my mind.
After pulling 1 diamond in the first half of the TA's, the second half was full of them. No real good ones but like 8 between 5-9k yesterday. Also after not pulling any rare rounds, pulled both Alonso and Vladdy. Felt like the twilight zone for me.

You are. I had no intention of getting Alonso, Vladdy and Ohtani but pulled Alonso and Vladdy yesterday so will probably fork out the stubs for Ohtani just for the heck of it.

ryne sandberg and fielder both count from collecting the affinitys

It’s not bad if you have most of TA3 completed, and hopefully you have some HRD cards to use in your mission stat grind

As I said previously, you can get 4 to use for free. Joc (if you picked him as henchman), Sanberg (15 card collection), Fielder (all 30 card collection) and whoever you get in the free pack on rewards path. HRD missions don't take more than a few games by having half of your lineup HRD cards.

I bought one of each hoping to get one of the top tier; pulled Mets 1B (name slipping rn) and sold him right away; turned in a 60k profit. Working on getting Trout to complete LS, then I’ll be able to (finally) focus on other stuff.

I bought 3 AS packs right when they released them. Pulled rare Vlad/Freddy first pack. Didn't buy any HRD packs but pulled rare Alonso/Mancini in the one free HRD pack in the rewards path. Stupid luck. Honestly, down the road I think the prices of Peralta and Mancini go up more than Vlad and Alonso solely based on I'm certain there are far less of them circulating with most people choosing Vlad and Alonso.

Sure, but you dot need them for Acuna. If you grabed Joc and collected the 15-30 for Sandberg and Prince yes they can be used as well, but if you starting from scratch, i'd just buy the cheap ones for the sell now prince, get the missions done, then sell them for a small profit.
